Yes Jonah. I am that is why my gross margin reflects what JLP are reporting. The $23/ton was taken from JLP accounts it had improved from $9/ton in the first quarter.

That is why I wanted them to show what it was in the 3rd quarter but they didn't just production numbers so will have to wait a bit now to see what the second half $/ton was.

The gross margin for chrome in the second quarter was $23/ton. I base my figures on gross margin and expect the margin to increase to between $30-$35 (could be more, could be less).

2 million tons produced next year potential gross margin of $60-£70 million. Net around $40-$50 million ish:)

Will wait and see what the second half of the financial figures are for chrome gross margin to see how close they are to $30/ton (better or worse). Thutse should improve it further.

In today's modern world of communication technology surely it isn't beyond JLP to put a twitter link on their website page and put a photo or 2 with a few words showing module fitted and Roan running. Cost nothing, improves communications and rebuilds trust where an RNS isn't always needed.

Give it a rest Shuvlin continuing to miss deadlines by months causes the doubt and distrust. JLP do that on their own they don't need any help from anyone else.

It hasn't been delayed by a few weeks though Shuvlin. This is the 3rd "prediction" they have put forward. They have already missed two "predictions". Anyway let's see what happens.

Speed of expansion is a factor Mikie I agree.

The IRH deal was first announced back in December last year it is now nearly Jun 24 and as yet no module is producing (before any jump in I didn't expect there would be at this point). This deal is to help JLP fast track copper so my question is:

What do investors on here regard as fast track? 2 modules running by Jan 25, 4 by Jul25? Slower than this or faster?

My personal opinion is I would consider the above satisfactory. What do others think?

Thanks Dorfan I was just rounding figures I realise it is after costs to IRH. There will be shareholders loans to pay back at some point as well but my point still stands why give away a large percentage when JLP would be in a position to finance copper expansion themselves if the increased copper output materialises.

100k in 2-3 years a bit too rampy for me let's get Roan running and a couple of modules going first and then see where we are:)

Once JLP get Roan and Sable running at max capacity and more small miners on board plus 4 modules running under the IRH deal. Do they need IRH any more wouldn't they be able to self fund their own copper expansion? Why give up 70%?

That's right about the manhattan project because copper was used in shell casings. They replaced it all with copper after the war. Wind turbines use tons of the stuff.

They can coat aluminium with copper or graphene to improve malleability and conductivity. There are always possiblities.

They can change the chemical structure of aluminium to increase conductivity also. It won't be the solution to everything but will be viable in some cases.

You can't compare bitcoin and Tesla prices to manufactured goods from a commodity. Investors choose to purchase those or not as the case maybe. However businesses have to sell their goods at reasonable prices as consumers will be looking for best price or they go out of business.

You misunderstand I am not saying copper will be designed out.

For example wind turbines use a huge amount of copper 3 tons per MW/hr produced. If manufacturers replaced half of this with aluminium (they would have to use a thicker wire for more conductivity but it is lighter and cheaper). Demand for copper would be significantly reduced.

1 million MW/hrs of power output from wind turbines is 1.5 million tons of copper not needed if only half was replaced. It is just an example of what industry can do when they have to. Also when wind turbines are replaced there will be a second hand market for that copper to be reused all reduces demand.

I still expect copper prices to steadily increase but not to those sort of giddy heights:)

I would be happy also with that scenario and I suspect it would make many on here significantly wealthier:)

At $40k/ton that would increase the cost of a 1.64MW wind turbine by around $140-$150k.

They are already getting too costly that no company made any offers for the last round of wind turbines to be built as the price per MW the Tories were offering weren't worth bidding for.

These predictions of $40k and $50k/ton are just ludicrous. He is a hedge fund manager talking up his own commodities fund been right in the past but also been wrong. All they are doing is extrapolating shortage of supply v increasing demand and making no account of changing technologies.

Already work is being done on increasing aluminium conductivity from 60% of copper to 80-90%. Aluminium is being considered for underground cables as well as wind turbines replacing copper or using a combination of both. Overhead electric cables already use aluminium. Work is being done on replacing copper in electric cars with aluminium derivatives. Decreases the weight of electric cars.

Business isn't going to standstill and let copper price them out of the market. Demand will drop off if the price of copper makes things exorbitantly expensive. It is more complicated than saying supply 200k tons demand 250k tons and increasing therefore copper gets exponentially more expensive.

It makes a good headline though:)

There is very little volume over the past few days sp just drifting whilst we wait for news:)

Shuvlin in fairness he did say it may not drop much at the time but personal circumstances made him make the decision to sell and he also said he still had a target price of 17p.

However you are right at these prices unless you are moving a lot of shares very little profit in it (I have agreed with Shuvlin see it can be done) also best wishes to him and his family.
