how come that everything has been going wrong recently.Problems at Pullman ,Problems with the Britvic contract, problems with the Screwfix contract - any more Problems?I think it's about time Management react not only by selling Shares.
you sell a couple of Shares on book (unlimited),as trading is currently very thin the sp cllapses.more and more People sell.brokers accumulate the Shares and big buyers buy 500000 off book that is from the Brokers.Today 35000 Shares were traded on book and 580000 off book.It would be nice if those in the know would tell us if the Company has come to grips with the Problems mentioned in the last trading Statement. From then on sp has been on a constant downward path
the brutal pullback is shocking.I think the Company should have issued a trading Statement the day of the AGM as most companies do.Business seems to be improving, however, bus Patronage is slightly better, the US part should be quite good. The currency tailwind will be less favorable.Next year they'll get rid of a very costly bond.To create a favorable climate for the new bond which will replace it,they 'll have to reinstate the divi but on the other Hand I don't see how they could possibly reduce the debt burden, given the heavy Investments they promised for their Trains.Could anyone comment ,please.
sorry,I didn't answer the second part of your question. There is no direct correlation. But weeks before a Takeover volumes normally increase strongly, especially on the off book market where you negotiate the deals. The Brokers often don't have enough volume on their books. If an interested Party wanted to buy a large amount of Shares the Price would increase immediately and often dramatically,as the Broker would have to offer higher Prices to get more volume.
you find them on the hompage of the London stock Exchange-enter win, then Prices and volumes
if the american parent Company or for that matter the European one wants to preserve the benefits which they derivefrom their Bitish activities, they will have to increase their margins in GB,otherwise the Transfer of British benefits to the parent Company will lead to a decrease of ist Profit barrin any other mitigating measures (rationalisation,,hedging-though profits are not normally hedged, only assets
as I said very big volume off book today,too.-Takeover prep?.given the weak Pound it would be very interestin for a foreign competitor or new entrant.1300000shares
Major competitors are XPO,a Dollar earner,DHL and DPD both Euro earners. If they want to preserve their margins, they'll have to increase Prices at least for new Tenders.Everything is so confusing right now.Big volume off book often at substantially higher Prices 8today on book 998,off book 17500.normally I realy on Information givenby Company Insiders M0xley /Hooz 2002.,but their opinions don't converge this time.Moxley is very pessimistic whereas Hooz2002 is very optimistic.By the way I suffer the same losses withe a number of Shares despite decent results
Colemann said win would meet expectations. Can we no longer trust him.Fundamentally win should benefit from the weak Pound as their Major competitors suffer
Things are getting stranger by the day.The 2nd day in a row turnover is very low on order book sales and very high on off order book sales.
they have won the haulier of the year Award and they have announced a business win and yet the sp doesn't move.Rather strange, isn't it?
why are These kingfisher contracts struggling?is it related to the Transport Problems?how could These Problems be solved in your opinion Do you already see the beginning of the promised continued operational efficiencies?
Thanks for this Piece of News.I was about to buy but I won't having read your warninigs. Why is it so difficult to manage this Business?Thea buy new trucks ,they are shortlisted for the best haulier of the year and those who know the Company best see big Problems looming large
glad you're back. Some time ago you felt that win was lagging behind their competitors.Hve they closed the gap in the meantime?Currently they have a competitive edge as most of the big logistics Providers are foreign-owned and suffer from the weakness of sterling
interesting.Let's hope they'' announce it soon
thanks for this information
it's certainly true that in recent years it has always been pie in the sky ,yet some things have changed (dollar strength,a relatively mild winter inthe US ,smart ticketing, greyhound bus should benefit from long waiting lines at airports and higher airfares).I must admit that my optimism has not been borne out by facts so far
will win benefit from DHL's demise in the UK?-Isuppose XPO ex Dentresangle`'s American parent will also fall on hard times in the UK given the pound's devaluation. They will be much less competitive which would certainly help Win.Anyway recent imressive business wins,i.e.IKEA will give the company a boost.
