Gold Inflation19 Jun 2020 17:29
Gold rises really rapidly when confidence falls in the Banks' ability to correct the economy. Ultimately, quantative easing (banks selling bonds for cash to facilitate lending, usually to the Government to support its public spending) is the catalyst as was borne out post 2018 and after each QE phase, 1, 2 and 3. I suspect that QE on a huge scale is imminent and the £ 100 billion bonds on sale yesterday is merely the tip of a very large borrowing iceberg. Thats why I am into gold.
