Can't see that CPX have anything which would support a Tesla battery. There are many uses for ultra capacitors in all modern vehicles though unsure they need to be the super thin type which fit well with wearables and small medical devices. Suspect it will be all about the Maxwell developed dry battery combined larger supercapacitors having an improved energy harvesting capability. They started banging on about this in February with a view to presentation in April (cancelled I think cos of Covid). So with all these months under his belt, perhaps he will be telling the world that his plants are now producing only these and will be appearing in cars imminently. There is a principal that if you launch an advanced product line in advance of production, then buyers wait and the present stocks remain largely unsold unless discounted. If the new product is ground breaking AND cheaper, then everyone in their right mind will wait before buying.

And in addition, no reason why Tesco would not buy into the Ocado platform if it leads to cost reductions on the home delivery front.

So that the buyer can choose say universally branded from Ocado and own branded from M&S and say Morrisons, Asda etc. In short, Ocado offers the logistics and all others sell on the platform

Does anyone know if the references to capacitors associated with Tesla batteries are anything like those developed by CPX ? There seem to be heavy weight light weight and featherweight capacitors. I always thought of CPX as being the featherweights associated with small devices. I suspect they are still suitable in car dashboard technology if not the main propulsion system. Can imagine the CPX engineers endeavouring to develop larger ones or arrays of their patented smaller ones but not heard any news.

The life expectancy rechargeable Li batteries depends on the number of times charged. If the use of Capacitors reduces the need to charge as often then longer life batteries are possible.
