Yes, there are plenty of other amazing treatments in progress and I’m in quite a few pharmas and mining companies. This one really stood out to me because of the unfortunate position that we have ended up in due to the poor mismanagement previously, which has unfortunately stagnated the development of our potential drugs and driven the sp down to a ridiculously low level. This has clearly been completely unfair for the lth’s, who we all have a huge amount of sympathy for (Thankyou again, Freddie and Valju). So my thinking was and still is that this has the most potential upside in a relatively short space Of time, compared to others.
To answer you and Rscorpio, if I knew the answer to that, then I would have remortgaged and put the lot into Val. Unfortunately, we are still at a fairly early stage of investigation and whilst everything is looking positive, there is no way of knowing if this really does Reduce tumours until the results come out. I’m hopeful as the signs are there, but these types of things can never be a dead certainty, by any means. Src kinase inhibitors are now being found to have so many potential applications, that we should have been so much further into investigating their potential uses by now. Instead, George and Mildred took an inordinate amount of time and bled investors dry in the process, to get nowhere near where the company should have been at this point. Src kinase inhibitors are now being looked into to potentially treat neurodegenerative diseases (such as Alzheimer’s and ALS) and as antivirals, amongst the other areas they are already in use mentioned earlier, such as leukaemia treatments and cancer treatment in dogs. So what I’m basically saying is in the worse case scenario if this turned out to be ultimately unsuccessful down the line as a prostate cancer treatment, there’s a good chance of it being an effective treatment for something. We just need to find out what exactly and be in a position to move forward with that in the future. Sorry that I can’t commit more than that...I’ve topped up to increase my average a couple of times this week, so I’m with everyone else, in keeping my fingers crossed!
Tommy, we wouldn’t be able to partner with Keytruda, I don’t think, as they’re not effective against prostate cancer. Nice idea though and the idea of partnerships is certainly a possibility as with bc201, we need to use other drugs to help with the immune system response. We may well get a nice surprise there...who knows...along with 301 :)
