People read the buy /sell indications and believe its real. Its actually a best guess based on the price and time the trade is reported. In many ways it would be better if it wasn't shown as it misleads many small investors into thinking market sentiment is trending more than it really is.

On all media talk around precious metals has been without any question 100% bullish and millions of punters have got into the market in some way in the last few months. It's inevitable that it has got frothy and every so often the froth gets blown off as the nervous and overcommitted/leveraged panic at the slightest negative price action. Look at other players in this sector.. Sylvania almost hit 120p but is back to 105p..and across the piece its the same story. This is how the markets work.. If people didn't panic or weren't forced to sell then the effects would be less... But as with any popular stock there are many with money in the market who really don't understand the dynamics and therfore react like a herd which is exactly what the MMs want and know will happen.

You probably have live prices turned on on your HL account... LSE is delayed. As for the price action, as always the MMs know there are many people sitting on big gains.. All they are interested in is generating trades so if they can shake out the nervous then it makes them money.. And is necessary for the price to start its next leg up.
