I forwarded my previous request for clarification to Briana and very quickly received the following interesting reply. Nice to know that I am not actually seen as a troll.

Since this is the first time artificial lift has been deployed to the Eocene gas wells in India, DGH are taking a special interest. They wish to have a direct comparison of gas and condensate production without artificial lift and with the jet pump installed. Presumably they will use the data for other Indian operators that have Eocene prospects. The Cambay gas resources are viewed by DGH as having significant strategic importance for India to reduce its reliance on imported LNG. As you said, we want to keep the DGH on side as we currently have a good relationship with them and do not wish to jeopardise this. Their request is not compulsory but it behoves us to comply and it wont result in material extra costs.

Once the Jet pump is installed we estimate it will take 10 days for the DGH to get the data required. This is only an approximation. "

Well, diplomatic as that is, I think that makes it

pretty clear that they gave only reluctantly gone along with the " request ".

Looks like the second base line is going to take around 10 days.

Hi Espen. Interesting and encouraging that the DGH are incentivising but I don't think it affects whether is sensible to include the old poorly fracked zones in the comparison.

We need to remember that not only were the old zones sub-optimally fracked, the well has now seen significant production and we can expect much better rates from the new wells than we will get from 77h even with the condensate removed.

This is what Roland said in an email exchange last September.

" I think you’ve homed in on what most shareholders are missing in so far as future new horizontal wells will be drilled in virgin rock. C-77H is an old well which has already seen significant production. Extrapolation future production from new wells is not an exact science since we’re dealing with rocks of variable quality but we’re confident that a horizontal well of c, 1000m with multiple fracked zones will give us the required production rates. And fracking 2 zones compared to 20 zones has relatively low incremental cost. "

I think Roland has gone along with the DGH

Still doesn't seem sensible to include them, but assuming they get s substantial increase, to maybe something above the immediate post refrac value of 0.5 mmscfd plus a bit more for the old zones, it should be enough for the jv to sign on the dotted line. Yes sausage it is 1500 metres which is near as dammit a mile. The volume depends on whether the diameter of the column is that of the production tubing at 2 3/8 inches or that of the liner at 4 1/2 inches. If the latter (best case scenario) then the volume is around 500 cu ft, equivalent to about 90 barrels of oil. At 80 usd a barrel it is roughly $72,000.

If the former it is about a quarter of that. Every little helps as they say.

Hi Ssccss. The point I was trying to make last week was that to a laymen like myself, it actually seems a worse comparison. Nobody seemed interested. I have a feeling that Roland was pressured into by the DGH. I am hoping that he has a way of telling how much of any increase in flow rate is coming from the refracked zones rather than the old zones. If so, he is not sharing it. Still hoping for a good outcome. Atb.

Yes,you are right. Must admit I forget that minor bit of my email to Roland. Notice you jumped on that rather than the main issue. As it happens we do not know an exact time line. Yes, I accept that it doesnt really matter that much if after all this time it's a few more days or weeks. They have said that the rig will move to C19z for 5 days whilst the base line is established. That doesn't mean that the baseline is going to take 5 days. Could be more, could even be less. We don't know. Similarly the second base line. I'll stick to early August before we know the improvement. Br delighted if it's earlier.

Thanks hedgecutter. Sometimes I have found Roland's answers detailed and helpful. Other times not so much. Like when I asked him why they hadn't prepared in advance for the condensate problem which has been known to be a serious issue since the original frack in 2014. As you say let's hope it all comes good soon.

If anyone is interested this is what I asked Roland on Tuesday. Its typical of the sort of thing I have asked in the past and got s reply.

There is an awful lot of confusion this morning at the latest rns.

It would seem at the request of the DGH the intended comparison of the two new efficiently fracked zones before and after artificial lift has now become a comparison of the same two zones plus the four original sub optimally fracked zones. It said in the investor presentation that only one of these zones was producing properly. Also, I think it was said somewhere that some of the tubing in the old zones had collapsed, which was an additional reason for blanking off the old zones. All in all this would seem to make an estimate of how much improvement with artificial lift is coming from the new efficiently fracked zones very difficult.

Obviously, you need to keep the DGH on side but any clarification, together with some indication of time scale for these additional operations would be much appreciated. "

Personally, I think that is a legitimate question and not superficial nonsense as stated. Whatever your standpoint on reconnecting the old zones, I think it would be useful /interesting to get an answer.

I'll give you credit got this Wolf. You've been consistently spouting cr*p for most of the 8 years, I've been here. Are you seriously suggesting we are not allowed to question the monumental delays in just about everything this company does? We do pay their wages after all. Of course we should be commenting on what is or is not happening.

In April last year we were told that the first new well was expected in Q4 2022 or Q1 2023. That is going to be around a year late. On March the 9th the pump was expected to be up and running by June 7th. Around 2 months late.

I freely admit that I may have pi**ed Roland off but that was probably because I posted his answers to my queries last year. Prior to that, he provided some very useful clarifications.

Anyone else agree that we are entitled to question the company's actions either on here or by email? If so please hit recommend. Gla.

No Desree. You are interpreting it wrongly. The workover rig will need to be initially deployed at 77h to remove the production tubing, drill out the plug, and replace the tubing. They will then establish the baselne flow rate without the pump. They don't specify how long this will take,but it will presimsbly be at least 5 days because the rig then goes to C19z for that time. It then returns to c77h to install the pump. They then establish the improved flow rate over however many days are necessary. I will br very surprised if we know the improvement with the pump before August.

No, my mistake. It will be longer than that. The workover rig will be deployed at 77h first to remove the production tubing and mill out the plug, then replace the tubing. So a few days more.
