Main take from those pictures is that the weather is behaving and that ground conditions are ok, although they may have picked the best spot to take them - still it’s a Positive in my book 👍

It would be a big step forward if they could put some technical detail to what they actually completed and found there. There was some discussion at the time that they had lowered the casing pipe to 1400m but may or may not have cemented it in place? Would that be feasible, perhaps because they were in a dispute with BH at the time? Would it survive if not cemented?

The issue with the Rig is that it should have been sent to Epiroc for a Mid-Life refurbishment, and come to site with some sort of warranty, probably at a lesser cost than all the costs of on-going issues that transpired after 7 years lying idle! Hindsight is a great thing, but in this case, it is what an established drilling contractor would have done with the purchase of a second hand Rig.

With the 20” conductor hole drilled, cased and cemented, and the 17.5” surface hole drill which is now underway according to Lorna, it appears they are drilling this as a potential production well again?

If aiming for surface casing to 150-200 metres down, then readings will be obtained in next 48-72 hours ?

It will need about 30 takes and as many make up touch ups to hide the embarrassment of the last 6 weeks, to produce a short interview fit for release, so most likely going to be several days yet. Lorna will be pushing James and James will be pushing Sarah, saying you do it, no you do it, etc. etc. then smiley Mike will appear and they will all push him forward to do it! Lol

But the question is, was she telling the honest truth to the best of her knowledge, totally naive to the reality of the on the ground situation, blindly hanging on to a long held dream, or simply passing on a scripted tall story from a corrupt band of rogues, whom she may or may or not be a part of ?

Think the above starts out as less likely moving through to the last one being most likely!

Well put reasoning, and agree 100% with what you are saying, the cash they had was to pay off the outstanding debts incurred for the mess that was Ta1-C, and the £6m raised was to cover Drilling Itumbula which they said would be over 30 days, equalling £200k a day. So even with some contingency and operating costs beyond that, £5m spent on the drilling alone would be £166k, £4m would be £133k, etc, etc. Still vast sums of money once the drill was up and running.

The whole thing just beggars belief now. And we won't see accounts to work out what's been going on until it's all too late, probably!

The BOD have taken the original investors, who stayed and backed the project, to the cleaners, and it appears the contractors and suppliers have taken the company to the cleaners, but they may have been dodgy dealings within the contracts and purchases! This week will reveal some interesting aspects to all of this, maybe good, or maybe bad!

The Company has also executed a contract with leading energy technology company, Baker Hughes, who will provide wireline services as well as cementing and drilling chemicals and fluids for the Tai-C well.

GeoLog International BV ("GeoLog") have been contracted for their mudlogging services. GeoLog were contracted on the Tai-1/-1A well and did an excellent job in terms of gas monitoring and surface logging, and the Company is pleased to be using them again on Tai-C.

They haven't yet confirmed a contract with either Baker Hughes or Geolog for this drill, as the RNS on 10th July 2023 stated contracts for Ta1-C (Tai-3) and there was no mention of Itumbula at that time! Neither have they even confirmed that the Iron Roughneck was purchased new off the shelf, refurbished or 2nd hand, and only "New" to HE1

Really hope they shower us with good news confetti next week, but is it really likely ?

Just need Noble to come back with Discovery lab results to brighten things up a bit, but have always been sceptical of their news and motives!

It goes like this:-

4th Jan 2024

"We are PLEASED to announce our latest update to proceedings at our Rukwa Project, currently based at Itumbula twin Pads, and Tai-3 cased borehole. Due to ongoing operational unforeseen difficulties, we have to inform the market, that we are now aware that we have mistakenly filled the Rig Truck engine cooling system with Hydraulic Oil, and also filled the Hydraulic system with Diesel Oil. We have on-site experts who have advised that filling the truck fuel tanks with water will help, as we will then have all 3 fluids in place somewhere within the Rig equipment, and they will eventually find their rightful locations.

We are working as fast as we can, and expect to update the market within the next 12 months!

Additionally, all of the BOD flew into Mbeya Airport after their 2 week special Winter meeting in St Lucia. We spent the afternoon in the town market, prior to travelling to site, and are pleased to report we managed to pick up a packet of Dusters and a 12 pack of WD40 Aerosols, to add to our on site Stores warehouse. Unfortunately, on route to site, our bicycle chains became dry, and on deciding to address the issue with some of the WD40, we discovered that the cans were in fact de-presurrized, and of no assistance in repairing the bikes. We have sent Mike back to get a cash re-imbursement, as you will all know, we are extremely careful with the pennies. Also, we will not be paying the cycle rental company for the bike hire, as we are good at getting into that Invoice dispute kind of situation!

In regards to the drilling campaign, we have unanimously agreed to restrict the drill work to boring 2 metre holes to allow planting of trees as part of the on-going community work, and as the drill will therefore be busy, we will wait for some movement in the East African Rift System within the next 1000 years, which will release the Helium we are confident is there. (We asked Mike to get some bin bags while he is taking the WD40 back, so we will be able to catch the Helium, ready to transport to market. We also plan to return to Tai-3 and unscrew the lid, to check if there is anything that has gathered in the pipe! That will involve further fundraising for the Taxi costs! We will notify the market accordingly!

Finally, we have contracted the whole of the Icelandic Government to help us further expand our Knowledge of the geology here, as we haven't an effing clue about it! End of RNS"

He’s talking about working on Drill Rigs, not playing the markets!

Maybe BH have the Keys to the Truck till they are paid in Full. lol

Once rigged up, they will more than likely drill deep enough to install and cement the Conductor Casing down 50-100 metres, or whatever depth is required to then start the drill for the surface casing. At that point, they will announce in an RNS that they have carried out testing under load conditions, and are ready to proceed or not. This will probably be mid-month, and subject to outcome of the testing, staff and contractors availability on site, and depending on payments and wages/salaries being up to date!

Drill will commence at Itumbula, but then it’s a lottery! GLA
