To reply to H, the "value" received so far in the course of the last 5 years it is a severe underperformance of the worst performing European equity index i.e. footsie 100. CPR definitely needed and only one who is in a position to give it to the company and stock is the MGMT. Let's hope they get their act together cause their strategy ain't working while the potential is huge if you only consider the juice attached to the annuity business in a an aging demographics

Dear tinker in days like these what you want to do it is start buying at a level of price you think it is value . Market psychology dictates future volatility so if price start to be value if you have 100 to spend you start buying for 10/20 and later buy more if the correction continues. This tactic is even more so valid if you need to average down your current average share price. Bottom line buy for medium long term when valuation becomes too attractive and avoid missing the opportunity. Hope this helps

Hi pockerchips and thanks for your reply to my post. While I see your point this is a Lgen post. Now as long as the post has something related to Lgen then it is fine but otherwise anyone can write about anything at anytime and I guess the great majority of people come into this board to share news ans opinions about Lgen.

Let's stick with lgen in this board , friends. I value peoples contribution on the topic and occasionally i like to read other investors opinions , not interested in other subjects. Thanks

As Charlie said many times find a good business and seat...too many traders talking about point of exit and all. This is a good business , shares very sold off for wrong reasons in the last 12 months. Be patient . High interest rates and bonds turbulence have caused the stock to go down more than it should ever been. Just think if you bought these share in 2010 and reinvested the ever growing divi up to date and figure out how much profit you would have made

Robleo, of course it doesn't work with every share. The starting point is to invest long term in good businesses , now for example back to your point myself never rated Vodafone as a good company. As value investor I particularly look at solid businesses with growing Divi payout, if you look at lgen history of last ten years of divi payments you will see it ticks that box .

Regarding soft criticism of the 10/15 years I would ask you to have a look at the Lgen chart and check where it was trading in 2010....and we are talking of 100years plus cash machine well established and regarded business. I guess that even less so following your reasoning you would have never been holding Nvi

I see many traders on the board and few investors, just need to follow the advice of smart people like warren and Charlie, and Benjamin before them, just buy good business at a good price and then seat on your ass. Now , Lgen is a great business and if you buy now and seat on your ass and get the juicy divi twice a year in 10/15 years time with the booming of annuity and private pensions businesses in a western ageing population with public welfare decreasing more and more in resources you can't go wrong.
