Dino China is very tough to call right now and while Rio is still heavily dependent on China and iron ore I think 10all the bad news are priced in and the risk is only upwards 2 Rio is slowly but surely moving on copper and lithium stronger and stronger as from recent acquisitions. When I think about long term I think mostly bout two things 1 Rio is an extremely well managed company 2 energy transition means new commodities boom and Rio is going to be very well positioned

All true Dino ken however that's the past I rather focus on medium long term guidance when I buy shares in a business. And I feel ok bout that and would take advantage of any weakness due to other investors sell orders to accumulate and further increase my position

Besides Elliott's involvement it appears clear that this company is due for an imminent dramatic shake up. I see risk only on the upside while the stock remains as it is still dramatically under valued. This company just can't keep manager as it has been in recent years . Too much shareholders valued has been destroyed and now it is changing times

300 eoy . 318 resistance level seems damn solid but with 50/75 bp cut and new rotation out of growth and tech into value 300 appears reachable. Who's with me??

Yes elphi I prefer dividends, buy backs have relative impact on share performance and only serve board members and directors to increase their bonuses. Just put money in the pockets of shareholders and let them decide what to do with it , you never know they might reinvest in BP shares resulting in an even better shares distribution

You are confusing, same as denby, ex dividend day with payment day. Dec 20th is payment day not ex dividend day. If anything it should technically/ potentially go up in price as many reinvest it

I told you so. Bottom line once again you need to treat this stock like a beautiful reliable honest gal who occasionally drives you mad however deep down you know she is the girl to hold on to

Lgen ain't and never will be a growth stock. It is a reliable income stock . I think lots of people here still don't get it. Talking bout recent performance doesn't make much sense and yes it started to go down on the US banking issue a while ago and it has not recovered yet as interest rates remain high for now. As for the stock performance look beyond last months. Look at the chart of the last 14years.... performance ain't that bad for an income stock stock is it!!! Bottom line if you are not prepared to hold this stock for the long term better look at other investments but if you are a long term investor looking for reliable decent income and relatively low risk in the equity markets perhaps this is one of the best times to dive in and accumulate large quantities in my opinion. Forget about possible tale over , ain't gonna happen, real hope is now coming from a trump win next week which to me looks very likely. This will boost oil price trigging a rally back to 80 and possibly beyond in due course.
