Could be time for them to admit no offer is coming forward now. Pretty absurd to to be running an offer period since November. Whoever has been speaking to them has strung them along for long enough, and if they were going to make an offer they would have done so by now. Whoever's been kicking the tyres all this time likely just wants to be first out of the gate bidding for assets out of admin.

Might be worth noting typical protocol is for activists to target the chair as a starting point, rather than going for jugular of CEO. Imo that doesn't mean they're necessarily being kind to Moulding who they might hold in equal contempt. In THG's case the chair is such a hapless empty vessel doubly makes sense to strike such a weak link.

If it's any sign, Ellendale is owned by Applied Digital and since last month's all time low for their share, it's almost doubled. Applied's revs would have taken more of a hit from the downtime than Mara if anything, so that could be a leading indicator. They did also finance about $50m to expand it recently, and as part of that you'd think they'd be able to sort it pronto..

Nothing wrong with them trading this, good luck to them, whatever makes their shareholders money. Frankly that's the more credible approach compared to say the few remaining IIs, some of whom imo look pretty silly maintaining a radio silence while compliantly diamond handing this all the way down from 500p.

On the other hand Future do have fingers in other pies like insurance comparison, whereas Reach traditional media only, so who knows.

The company's response today was strangely aggressive and might come back to haunt them. The company can only have insight into their side of the negotiations, whereas the media in this case have clearly been speaking to the other side and who really matters here - government.

Unless he has some scheme to phoenix unencumbered assets out of admin - actually wouldn't put that past him, but that's not exactly a trade anyone can follow. Overall looks like karma caught up with him.

Very unloved company but could still see a decent reversal here. Feels like we've passed the bottom of the cycle for housebuilders now, and of all of them this has the lowest price to tangible NAV. Probably for good reason, they've executed pretty poorly over last couple of years - but by the time they signal operational issues behind them, it'll be priced very differently. Helps it has to be a promising takeover target with the lowly valuation and hefty landbank.

Pretty decent results I thought. £4.7bn revenue is a big increase on last year's £4bn. Other key metrics going in right direction, free cash flow up while net debt down.

The question marks like BEV depreciation and used car market turbulence late last year now in rear view mirror, so current financial year should improve further still. Good to see fresh buyback and increasing divi. Underlying profit of £34.6m a reminder of how slender margins in this industry are, but I make that a p/e of only 7.5 - with net asset value per share at 70.5p those profits are virtually free at this price.

Funny how the manipulation conspiracy theories get trotted out on these boards, only ever applying to share prices going down. As if there's a spooky cabal out there that would be bothered to manipulate the share price of a distressed retailer of used phones with a £5m market cap.

All for a bit of 2020/2021 nostalgia, back then you could buy any old sh*t and price went up. Just need the decent miners to join the party and act like it's 2021 again. I think it's coming, but fair warning on that point I might also be terribly mistaken.
