They always come on here all guns blazing, not understanding the views of those who have been around long enough to have truly seen it all with this company. Give enough time though - and if these newbies carry on holding long enough they too will be as jaded as the rest of us 😁

@Mezza unfortunately the meeting and vote are totally meaningless as it's already a done deal. The vote is just a technical exercise approving restructuring of the shares, not whether shareholders actually approve of the whole thing - Matt and his compliant board have already made that decision.

I know we're mostly over the timing thing now this has been published, but I would add it was typically unnecessary to raise expectations like that indicating this was going to be published earlier.

Of course it won't have hurt Peel Hunt's chances getting this gig being one of the few City firms to say nice things about THG. We at least know those soothing words must have at least boosted a certain ego from sheer number of times he quoted them on Linkedin.

Peel Hunt tend to do broking for small to mid-caps so could just be realignment with the company's diminished size.

These guys aren't stupid, remember they won't always believe whatever story they're telling. Often times they'll actually believe the opposite and act accordingly despite what they say. Their job is just to tell the story regardless.

Probably though what will rankle our hypothetical 50 year old analyst reading this most won't actually be the idiot part, but being called a boomer.

Indeed a lot has changed since the AGM, ~40% off the share price for starters will tend to harden even the softest and most compliant holders.

100notout you've used the Rolls Royce analogy - putting aside the obvious difference of of being a much loved British institution (I don't mean THG here) and USP of manufacturing aircraft engines and high level defence vs retailing whey/makeup, you may well have have noticed the RR share price re-rate started almost immediately after they replaced their CEO.

Be interesting to see other side of that trade at who bought. Fair chunk for them to be able to sell in one hit, at least indicates there is a willing buyer. Far better than the alternative of them drip feeding sells a few % at time, this way it clears quite a big overhang.
