How low will this share likely fall to? The amount that I have in, it’s pointless trying to save 25% of it.
@bynari and others ref the drilling period.
I thought that last week we stablished that the 60 day period included the full shutdown process.
Meaning retrieval of 6km of drill and piping, plus sealing the well. That is likely to take, say, 5 days including contingency?
That IMHO (happy to be corrected, but doubt I am far off) means that drilling will be finished by Friday 12th at latest.
I am a bit uncertain as to what news BPC are allowed to release and when.
I read on here last month that the Bahama Gov was to be the entity that released the success or otherwise news, but also read that the Stock market must be told first via RNS to avoid insider trading....
Not sure if any of that is accurate though?
They started laughing while the ink was still wet.
Maybe one day we will find out why the BoD felt that they had to take this deal
@EggChaser, what is a SWP, I doubt that it means Shawn Wright Phillips in the context of an Oil drill?
Did we find out if the 60 days included the time required to cap the exploratory drill and recover all the drilling kit or if it was up to 60 days drilling and then then the cap etc takes place after that?
@GaryGraham
That said he did say the following " We treat shareholders money like its our own ".
Now I hope that isn’t said in the same way that my mrs says it, because when she treats my money like her own, it reduces my wealth drastically.
Definitely chose the most monotone voice so as to give naff all away. Bet he plays poker.
Reminds me of that Father Ted Episode
Father Ted: Who's got the most boring voice?
Billy: What?
Father Ted: Of the lot of us, who's got the most boring voice?
Fitzgerald: (extremely dull voice) That'd be me, Ted...
Father Ted: Right, now, listen to me--
Fitzgerald: I have an awful dreary monotonous voice, God help me...
@wolferrlaf, never post the http:// part of the address. I find it makes long links format incorrectly
@HarryOffD,
You must think that there is money to be made here though?
Same as you, I would have rather a binary drill with less dilution and no merge with CERP, but that bridge has been burnt.
Wonder what size casings have so far been delivered to the ship? That’d show progress, perhaps
So many trades, but nearly all are back-of-the-sofa amounts. I would have expected some much bigger buys by now.
Brynjon.
As part of of my recovery from knee surgery, I was thinking of building up to hiking the length of Offa’s Dyke.
Ever had a go on that?
@Brynjon, Ilove a Cruise holiday, but I can’t see many smaller island communities welcoming ships with 4000 day trippers alighting and mingling in the way they did. Shear logistics of social distancing mean that less tourists will get in to the bars and shops to spend their hard earned.
Makes that oil discovery more vital for their economies
@topsharepicks, will Bahamas also be able to rely on the same level of Tourism as in the past, with Covid not only causing less footfall via lockdowns but also less cash to go round through the economic damage to US and Europe?
@lallee,
Johnny walker black label is a bit more than 12p in my local mate..(see what I did there?)
That Happened to me yesterday. Close your browser and start again. That solved it for me anyway
Thanks CarsCoffee.
I am propped up in bed, have just been brought back to my ward after knee replacement surgery. Waiting for the Epidural to wear off...I am hoping for a little sleep tonight, but at the moment it’s not on the cards.
Now, a nice pick-me-up would be a really “SP boosting” RNS

I have been a Holder for 2 years now, and bought for the binary Commercial Oil or Not viewpoint based on a relatively small share issue. I am just in the red, not by much but will stay to see how things work out -
So after declaring my stance, my opinion is that the BOD told the world that BPC were fully funded to Drill Last April 2020. Since then they have been arguably profligate with fundraising, dilution and changed their raison d'etre after 11 or so years.
I think that the market is just wary of the company's change of approach now. "Who knows what they are going to spring on us next " , might be the thinking.
