The SP will always have ups and downs. Right now there are 2 parts of the chart i am particularly interested in - where the gaps are. Those are at around 1.4 - 1.6 and at 4.5 - 5.5. There is no guarantee that the gaps will be closed, but this seems to be why people keep mentioning 1.5p.
For a much broader overview, this chart shows both our all time highs and lows, with a few trend lines thrown in.

I believe slacker was referring to the interview prior to Tai-3 completion, before Christmas.

Before they can get a JV, they would need to be able to put a valuation on what they have. I would suspect they are analysing all the well log, DST and seismic data to create a model of what they have to determine reservoir properties and what could be extracted. I assume they would need to do an appraisal well/s at some point. Not sure if they would need to send all the data to an independent party to corroborate everything.
First news would be the lab results to steady the SP back around 2.5p? What then?
The SP is in a downward trend and will be flat at best until news.
We have no idea what the company is currently working on so cannot say if next news will move the SP much.
There was a gap up at 1.38 so there is a chance the SP will reach this.
The recent SP surge to 3p has since dropped by 25%. A further drop of this amount is possible without news but I believe it would take over a week from now at the current rate.
Sorry Neil, but I don't need some newbie with a messiah complex to tell me anything about this share.
I am still invested with over 1M shares. I have derisked as I had sold other investments to buy more shares here. Having 95% of my portfolio in 1 share was not healthy. Don't forget your history is available to view too so we know you also sold some shares.
I have not made any negative comments about the company, other than being irked by the 72% discount.
Just because I am speculating of what the next steps are does not mean I have sold out or am being negative about the share. We have not been told what the next step they are working on is.
Grow up.
I get what you are saying, but if you look only at the share price, there are many companies that seem to be raising money and don't have much to show for it.
The "story" of what we were looking at is what created the initial surge on listing. We were going to drill 3 wells and had the funds to do so.
We did a fair amount of seismic data logging which lasted from Feb-May 2021.
Jun 2021 - Tai1 we were drilling okay, but lost the drill string in the hole and could not recover it.
Jul 2021 - Tai1A sidetrack was started part way down original well.
Aug 2021 - Tai1A was completed. Wireline was getting hung up on washouts and hole conditions were deteriorating. As there was no free-gas found (only gas-cut-brine) DST were not done.
Tai2 well was started and completed. They were wanting to test the original shows, but found that the clay created a seal, so that could not be tested.
Nov 2021 - phase 2 seismic begun using the data from the wells to better identify targets.
Jan 2022 - seismic and completion of a multispectral satellite spectroscopy study announced. This helps identify the helium migration.
Feb 2022 - Electrical Resistivity Tomography ERT studies begun
May and Aug operational updates - were in discussions with a rig operator and also conducting a rig audit as the mineral rig used for Tai1 was too small a bore.
Nov 2022 - Alternative drilling rig sourced but this fell through in Jan 2023.
Dec 2022- Fundraise. £9.9M
Feb 2023 - new CEO
April 2023 - rig share LOI with Noble
May 2023 - CPR shows 61% estimated increase in resource.
Jul 2023 - acquisition of an Epiroc Predator 220 drilling rig. Tai-C well pad and access roads already underway
Aug 2023 - civil works complete
Sept 2023 - fundraise £6.3M and Tai3 commenced drilling
Oct 2023 - Tai3 drilled to 1,448m. Suffered mechanical and electrical breakdowns during drilling. Completed in Nov, but further drilling required as mud losses were incurred and parts needed after further breakdown.
Nov 2023 - wireline logs down to 1430m due to washouts. Samples recovered but no free gas. 7 inch casing run so they can return later.
Dec 2022 - £6.1M raised. No idea why they thought a 72% discount was required, but some people were able to profit from this.
Jan 2024 - ITwest1 drilled.
Feb 2024 - The Company identified three zones for well testing, and upon completion of each DST, all three zones successfully yielded downhole gas samples. 4.7% helium and 2.2% hydrogen.
£4.7M raised "which will enable us to fully focus on the next phase of the Company's growth."
I don't believe we have been told what the next phase is, but I would assume they are recompiling the seismic and downhole data to determine new targets, possible resource etc, so they can get a proper valuation.
They had serious problems finding a rig and then repairing the one they bought. The amount of good news has been lacking until late which is why the SP has been steadily dropping.
That depends on when you bought. A month ago this was 0.2p and is now 2.1p so has already had a rerate.
We know we have helium in a good concentration. We now need to show it is commercial to extract. That will require flow rates over a prolonged period. To determine the size of the reservoir, appraisal wells may be drilled. A development plan would then be prepared to extract the gas.
We are analysing the well log data right now, probably along with the seismic data we have. Any amendment to the reservoir estimate will create price movement. As will news of any flow rates.
IMO DYOR
In June 2021 we had 615,498,925 shares. In August we hit a high of 29p with Mcap of £178,494,688.25 (assumed).
We now have 3,715,710,763 shares. To get to the same Mcap, the SP would need to be 4.8038
Current SP of 2.2 would be 13.28 in old money. 2.5 is 15.09 and 3p is 18.11. Not that it means much now, but just thought i'd put it out there.
Was the placing to raise funds for an appraisal well? Anyone know if they would just use the existing one?
So we wait for flow test results and the independent lab analysis. 2-4 week for both?
Anyone else needing an operational update? I'm already having withdrawal symptoms from no new RNS'.
I second that.
We need to get gas samples to external labs for testing, but we really need to test the flow rate to be able to state that this is a discovery. Are there any other requirements before declaring a discovery?
Discovery is a technical term and we can't say it is classed as a discovery until certain criteria are met. I can't find anything that states what that is, but below is a link to one of the first interviews our then CEO did. Quite long, so i have started it partway through, but quite interesting.
