I sent a personal letter Friday last addressed to Mr Darby advising him that shares were once 1.80, McCormacks offered 65p and share price has for past two years been 40 p now 38 p. All this under his watch. Wonder if I'll get a response. This guy must have zero conscience/gumption imop but if big shareholders keep him there does not say much for them huh?
before at one time the sp was 185 p and now for almost 2 years 40p!! Something has gone wrong and is not being corrected. Has anyone actually contacted Darby and the Board to ask WTF? Perhaps everyone on this site should agree to send, by mail, a simple letter to Darby asking him that very question. As southcbubble says this could go to 20p........ So if someone wants to draft a simple 3 line paragraph let's all send it in unison so he gets the message
Yep - this c***p about the company needs to be said. I have said it before, from what I see, this company is really a pension provider with a food producing facility on the side. Something needs to be done to generate any growth. My suggestion that they start producing/manufacturing/whatever food that contains less sugar for a start might get some new sales/growth - be the first food company that caters for diabetics like me and a few million others and is seen to be tackling obesity/children's lunch boxes etc. Maybe not Darby but someone else might consider this reasoned opinion I have which is there is a huge market in this sugar debate out there
stop talking about this company and get real. The company has massive debt as well as a massive pension liability/commitment. The company's products are selling but needs to sell a lot more before that dents the debt/pension black hole AND the share price hangs around 40p for over a year - have I missed something here? Something radical needs to be done with it's products/brands to reach potential - what exactly I do not know but I am sure I will be told
Agreed on this - I am hearing now the same c**p about when PF will suddenly do something as I heard a year (even two) ago. When guys - Darby was going last year as well but he's still there; share price was around 40p and still there.... just saying
I keep reading all these posts about what the SP should be/what it will be/what Nissin should or should not do/the number of mince pies PF have sold and the list goes on. SO WHAT.... Ladies and Gentlemen - the SP the last month has been between 40p and 44 p and currently 43.55 p - whoopee. In fact it has been at that level for over a year now. I'll spell "whoopee" in CAPS when the SP rises to what some people are saying it will be but do wonder do they really know or are they just hoping - when is this rise actually going to happen?
This is good news for people like me i.e. diabetic. How many of my co-diabetics (a good few million of us poor souls in the UK I am told) get sick and tired of having to keep looking at packages in shops and putting them back because of the sugar content? Furthermore, if something shows it is good for diabetics it usually costs more - why is that??? With diabetes now a major problem and concern for us all could the boffins at PFD capitalise on this - non diabetics would surely like less sugar as well/kiddies lunch boxes etc. - come on PFD get moving on this and be the pioneering food manufacturer to finally show seriousness on this issue.

Me again - so much for Numis predicting SP to 825p huh?
is it not the other way - Regal buying Cineworld? Share drop is ridiculous but I cannot see this benefitting me as a small shareholder
Could someone explain where the prices of 57p, 45 - 50p etc. come from? As I write SP is 41.32 and going nowhere. Results seem good but clearly market is not believing something - I have not a clue what it might be. To keep up the speculation I will say the SP should reach 1.85 - I'm basing this on what I hope it will be and nothing else. Let's all be honest Nobody knows
I wonder where people are getting this 57p by Christmas from? As I write a 4.79% rise to SP of 38.25 - whoopee. Perhaps there will be a 47.9% increase to bring us near to 57p - Come on Santa give is a Christmas present we can all cheer whilst we gorge on those French Fancies.................I feel like I have been stuffed and Paxo does not feature here! Remember the days of 1.85 .................. what happened?
Looking at the share price the outlook is not good is it? The 15 November half year results will be interesting but if bad are disgruntled shareholders simply to continue to moan and not do anything about it - does Darby actually know the discontent against him. A while to go yet but shall we organise a visit to the next AGM................
My first post on this holding. Has anyone noticed the share drop - SP now 407.70.Investigating I see HWDN receives a 453.60 target (9 hrs ago)and 20 hrs ago Zacks upgrade HWDN to a "strong buy". Am I missing something here or is it that these analysts like to hear the sound of their own voices?
Thanks Sandyman - thought I would get in on the act as I'm not the only one losing money - another obvious fact of course. I do not get this "let's blame the weather" bandwagon - people need food and goodies - I am unfortunately addicted to Mr Kiplings French Fancies!! and must be helping sales - Lloyd Grossman and other brands abound in my house. What do I know huh? Hope 3cardbag's optimism pans out and we can receive some good news
I have been invested in PF for a while now- losses abound but I am not complaining on that point. Somewhat "tongue in cheek" I would welcome the name of the company being changed to Premier Pensions or a derivative thereof. This company has good products and brands but is obliged to maintain (rightly I must say) pension and debt repayment obligations - will this ever change? As a shareholder (as opposed to staff and bond holders) I am really carrying a loss with no sign of any gain whatsoever - as my subject title states - Just Saying
