Very personal taste but if you like Glenfiddich, Scapa 16 might be a good drinking and investing bottle.

I wouldn't pay more than £70-£80, but I've sold plenty at £150. Very underrated, very drinkable.

Seems like there are more nervous nellies here than anyone else.

I'm new to AIM but when I buy and sell whisky that's what I look for.

Hype can bring a sharp rise before prices level, but sometimes a bottle is worth keeping.

My gut tells me this is a bottle to hold onto. Slangeva!

Yes your idea would solve many problems. Looking to the future blockchain will become more attractive, especially one backed by gold.

I am very interested to see what premium if any can be reliably contractually negotiated.

For jewellery and bespoke pieces, I think it will be a simple arrangement.

For bullion and all the related tax issues, I would love to know Albas master plan.

My own view is it may work like this,

Contracts are signed for x amount of gold with some form of verification of Welsh gold for x price over x time.

This may be with one or several jewelers or mints.

Anything outside these contracts would be up for negotiation assuming there is to clause in and signed contracts to state only they have the rights to the name.

Anything over and above is then sold at spot market price.

Ensuring premium isn't about selling everything for top dollar, its controlling the amount which is sold under the brand.

Then again, my experience of spot markets and exclusive brands comes from fish. You can't keep them in a safe for 20 years and pick your market.

Selling the gold to jewllers won't be a problem.

Anything exclusive and rare is bread and butter. I have links to a international jewler myself, they are constantly looking to get the edge on competitors.

The easiest way to keep a premium would surely be to sell any gold not under contract on the spot market, it would still be Welsh gold but without the provenance.
