From what I could see they thought the best harbour would possibly be a natural deep water anchorage approx 6 miles from the operation?

The next closest area I can see looks to be Narsarsuaq and from what I can tell it would require as much development to be suitable for OBO's. You would also have the extra distance to transport the ore.

I've been involved in harbour construction so have an idea of the challenges and costs. I also have some experience in port operations and the requirements of vessels. Pilots, tugs, icebreakers etc.

IMO on this one let a big boy take the helm and ride the wake.

They have already intercepted possible continuation This was always going to be extremely challenging but they believe it has proven their modelling.

If the bulk samples are poor then the focus moves to the next round of drilling expected by Q2 2021 according to the latest RNS. There are also the trenching ops in progress with surface drilling and Gwynfynydd being recced.

I don't believe this is an all our eggs in one basket type scenario, more of a work in progress over a large area.

With the pilot plant set up, Mr Austin can pick and choose areas of interest, that alone gives me great hope.

I think the main underlying problem here is Alba is an exploration company. It may at some point reach the stage of production or it may choose to sign JV's or sell assets.

IMO production within 2-3 years is achievable with good grades and favourable conditions. I am no expert, that is based from looking at similar projects and making my own estimations which I can sleep comfortably with. Every PI must do the same.

Wild panic because the share price rises or drops 10th of a pence helps nobody.

IMO Wales has been hurting for years, industry's shut down one after the other.

If Alba can mine successfully, bringing employment and an easy source of revenue surely that can only be seen as positive. Some small hope through troubled times.

If the Welsh government are fundamentally opposed to the project why would they allow exploration and the gold discovered through this process to be sold?

There will be the usual opposition, the sceptics, the jealous and the green brigade.

I remain positive and believe that the BOD are working hard to foresee and overcome the obstacles in their path.

Alba is very much still an exploration company, not a producer from what I can see.

My point is only that we need to reward their hard work with our patience, hopefully then in turn we shall be rewarded.

Everyone is free to buy in and out at their leisure.

With any luck in 5 years time Alba will have two mines in production in Wales. Greenland will either be in development for Thule sands or in a JV and shipping ore and the same for the Graphite at Amitsoq. World is our oyster - who knows what other assets GF can add to our portfolio.

There is some roads to go but better on the bus than off it IMO.

We will inevitably drift down again, but remember this is just the first part of the puzzle.

They have confirmed gold now, it is no longer speculation.

You have to take a drill core in context, what we have is a very small slice of a gold bearing lode.

From my understanding the entire purpose of the drilling campaign was to prove or disprove the belief that the main gold bearing lode extended beneath the historical mine workings. It was a hard task given the nuggety nature of clogau.

They have only gone and bloody done it! They have proved continuation and can now increase the drilling campaign to box in and map the extent of the feature, giving a much better understanding of the discovery.

Sometimes you can find the needle in the haystack.

Just goes to show that the team at Alba do know what they are doing. The methodical acquisition of the entire gold belt was either a desperate scramble or a stroke of brilliance, with cards like Greenland in the deck I didn't believe they would risk their credibility chasing pipe dreams in Wales.

Looking forward to bulk sample results and then onto trenching.

Alba have the rights to two gold mines now, I have no doubt that there is gold if the visible gold markers included on the diagrams in the RNS release a few weeks back are accurate.

For what its worth I agree fully on Alba, they have made all the right moves in Wales.

The new placings were unexpected, and that was sour for many of us.

In the grand scheme of things? The gold hasn't disappeared, in order to make money you need to spend money, hopefully they are now fully funded for the expanded operations well through next year.

Let's hope we are right and good news is just below the horizon.

Some interesting articles re pog at the moment. I read somewhere that if it falls below $1800 resistance it is expected to drop another 200 very quickly before rebounding and accelerating to a new high. Heres hoping!

On a side note, GGP has done well today regardless. Gold price will always fluctuate, we still have a valuable resource (assuming assay grades sufficient).

I tried to sell a chunk yesterday morning to put into something else and I couldn't. Shock horror about an hour later the arse fell out of it.

I've pulled my holding out, with weeks/months of waiting on the cards I can see plenty scope for a cheaper buy in.

I'm looking at the two 10,666,667.

Is there a significance with that figure? I've seen bizarre numbers like this before.

Either that or the same person sold and then rebought at a loss?
