Hi CE, I was one of those, now LTH, who bought in at a 'premium'. If I recall correctly the MCap was around £46e6?!. As pi@@ed as I've been with CB missing , pretty much all, deliverable's since then I averaged down heavily and even broke even for a short period this week.

I've always had faith in what we have at Manica and was happy to hear CB state there will be further drilling undertaken there when funds allow. Manica + the other projects we have means I have changed my plans of selling, and escaping XTR, once even. It looks increasingly like decent profits may be achieved next year should CB keep the news flow coming...

In a webinar on Thursday (28 August), Maynier said that the province was currently focused on the reopening of domestic travel, but would table a submission to government around the opening of borders next week.

Maynier said that the resumption of international travel was imperative to the province’s economy as a large proportion of tourists are foreigners. International tourists, typically stay longer and spend more, he said.

I guess it could come earlier CE. As I recall the last mention of it CB said we'd work it ourselves and forward sell the copper at a fixed price so we could get part of the set-up costs right away.?! That was a while ago so there may well be a new deal arranged.

Based on our current position, I'd rather we waited and use our own cash. Early next year we should be in a position to start optimising our assets to be more profitable for shareholders and not our partners. i.e. not another ~20% share deal.

P.S. Not ****ging Bird off for those deals, they were necessary to minimise dilution but we appear to be moving towards self sufficiency at long last....

I very much doubt kalengwa will be up and running any time soon CE. Didn't CB state we would need at least $2m to get it going?

Agreed - Considering this deal has been 'a couple of weeks from completion' for months now, Typical Bird, not to mention it being hyped up as a great deal for XTR shareholders, it's turned out to be mediocre at best. Considering the resource is far more definitive than alluvial s , therefore less of a risk, i'd expected a better deal TBH.

It seems the market agrees it seems and continues to wait for Bird to deliver something meaningful.....

Although 22 border crossings (7 land, 10 air and 5 sea) are open again, and President Filipe having announced on 5 August that “we will expedite the resumption of international flights”, the Ministry of the Interior, through the National Migration Service (SENAMI ) has decided to subject the entry and exit of Mozambique to an authorisation which recalls the ‘Guia de Marcha’ of pre-democracy days, adds the same source.

“We would like to inform all nationals and foreigners that, if they intend to travel outside the country for urgent matters or return, a request for entry or exit should be addressed to His Excellency the Minister of Interior,” SENAMI deputy spokesperson Leidita Mate Mahanja announced at a press conference last Thursday (15).

Up until today the U.S. Embassy in Mozambique's website explicitly stated that only one border between SA and Mozambique was open. The 10 day quarantine remains but this could well mean all borders are now open.?

Average salary in the UK for a senior Geo is ~£50k so if it is in USD he/she would be on more than double that. I guess it could be a consultancy rate?

I'd be happy if the free milling & alluvial_2 projects are underway in Q4.

Bird mentions that the free milling equipment is 'in country' so its not on a slow boat from China, as I'd thought. The hold-up is possibly down to the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) which would be overseen by government , this could be quite a blocker considering Moz in still in lockdown. From the interview, t wasn't clear to me if an EIA for both projects would have to be carried out.

If he does raise hopefully it's in the form of a primary bid and PI's get an option to buy at a discounted price too.

I'm fairly confident that CB won't be back for a raise to Drill. He has mentioned that the drilling is very cheap in Auz (I looked myself and found it's actually cheaper than in Mozambique). there's also not a huge amount of, initial, drilling based on the RNS. OFC, we have an extra salary to pay and with more directors coming on board funds may be getting tight.

Let's hope the alluvial and free milling deals get done sharpish!
