Tuckman, you are a brave fella! I've been here for more than ten years and, so far, have lived to regret every time I topped up. I am still here, I still believe in the product but have diminished faith in the management and, as a shareholder, I feel nothing but contempt from a board who cannot seem to communicate.

I have no doubt that they know how we all feel and despite looking "us" in the eye and acknowledging that communication is a problem, when the spotlight is on them, they crawl back under a shell, the moment they walk away from it.

In my opinion, its a brave man to invest further in a cool, contemptuous breeze!

This is an interesting dilemma for me. On the one hand, I share entirely, all the frustration, and particularly relative to Morocco. The board managed our expectations by talking about the trial being completed in December, in the very same meeting that they acknowledged the weighty complaints about poor communication, so the dilemma is of their making.

However, I also agree entirely with Rob and Crownos; I am not sure that sending the kind of emails posted by Manu will help much. Again, I share his views entirely, but I just don't think that posting "Sod the happy new year" and "just bloody well tell us!" will be well received by a board of directors.

For me, Gribbler has the nub of the issue and the main reason for pressure to be applied; dilution is looming and it looks like we may once again (remembering Saudi) be hanging our dreams on MSC and only MSC. It is clear that progress continues with MSC, it is clear that all parties are committed and it is also clear that the potential prize is enormous, but will we run out of cash before we get there, thus proving that the share price should have been more of a consideration for the board, en-route?

I cannot fault the likes of Manu, although I myself will not be sending such an email, it is so frustrating - are we watching a slow motion car crash, or just being impatient on our way to wealth? Either way, I am sure of one thing - the board are well aware of our sentiment, I don't doubt their desire to let us have news when meaningful news is available, and I suspect that the client is almost certainly the barrier to an update on Morocco.

PS. Did Haggis get eaten at Hogmanay?

I am ignorant - of both investing and the fuel industry. I invested in QFI before my two other investments (GKP and SXX) dissolved into an expensive abyss. I invested in QFI on a whim because I read about them, and it sounded very logical and exciting. My initial, small and very cautious investment has continued through years of "topping up". I am a member of the forum, and I am immeasurably grateful to all those who take their time to share their knowledge, insight and experience, just as I am with many of you who post on here. It's my "hard earned" at stake and I am ignorant, so guidance and knowledge are received with grace.

If the forum was about something that I was able to express opinions on and I voiced those, only to be shut down, I would feel equally as aggrieved, but I am not in that position. I was very disappointed when you left the forum Vince, because I valued your views and constant posting of news and updates, but grateful to you for continuing on here.

My point: For those in my position, both resources are of immense value, I feel indebted to all of those that are kind enough to have posted so much of such value, for so long. It's not for everyone, but for many of us, it is of significant value. We are all different, we all have different views and for those of us generally without knowledge, the forum is a fantastic resource, put together by people who generally mean well. If it's not for you, that's fine, in my view but to suggest that the people involved are not of sound mind or self-obsessed is perhaps ill considered, at best.

Vince, that's me...His appointment had not escaped my notice and I have to say that he was surprisingly attentive when we did communicate and followed up our initial conversation with a letter to Kwazi Kwartang and subsequent letters to me, so I shall make contact with him again. I guess my one concern is that he will want to be seen to be able to deliver, if he is going to "champion" new ideas, and I am slightly nervous of the fact that QFI have delivered nothing further since, in terms of actually producing and burning fuel. I wonder if it is best to wait until we have the results from Morocco, so we can give him something solid and meaningful to work from. The alternative is that I just try and put him in touch with Jason.

I fully expect a little discussion on this on the forum, and don't wish to invite discussion here. It goes without saying that anyone can contact him on this basis anyway, so there is absolutely no suggestion that I am the owner of contact with JRM; it may just help that he and I have previously communicated and spoken about this, but I am just an ordinary bloke, who happens to have him as my MP...

Well DON, I hold your views in the highest regard after all these years, and it sounds like I may be proven wrong (occasional in the day job and perennial where the Mrs is concerned) but forgive me for feeling a little more anxious than I did, given how the Utah story has played out so far!

Vince, I agree entirely with you! They say they have tested this "on paper", because as far as my memory serves me, they haven't done a huge amount "off paper". I recall the photo of one solitary barrel, sat slightly awkwardly on a broken wooden pallet and it just feels all wrong...it only needed a yellow three wheeler in the background and I think it would have been perfect!
Surely, if we are going to retain credibility and run the MSC trial with success, we need a respected refiner on board and a very robust supply provision. If we can start to feed in product from Utah as part of the process, in order to test this as a potential future source of product, then so much the better, but I cannot think for a moment that the board would even consider relying on Utah to provide the fuel MSC need to run trials.

I have been invested here for about eight years and never, ever posted; its just not my thing. However, I login most days for a glance and I am as frustrated by the share price as anyone else on here, but seriously, you need to get some "oxygen". Go and have a beer with some mates, or sit in a shed playing backgammon and chewing the cud, ride a bike, take up fishing, or knitting, or something...anything in fact. This cannot be good for you of your loved ones.

You are welcome to report my post, or whatever, but I promise you, I really don't mean anything personal at all. I feel all your frustration, but also the benefit of being able to close this screen and walk away to get on with my day. This will all hopefully come good, but I suspect you, and I know I, am unable to change what does happen. We are but bunting flapping in the breeze old boy....

I think there is little doubt that "if "we ride out testing successfully and a proper commercial contract follows, any number of possibilities will come into play, including someone much larger swallowing us up, but as we all know and has been said too many times, its all on that little "if". I guess long term holders have developed their own understanding of how the product might work in so many different, and often substantial, commercial scenarios that selling just as the journey starts doesn't fit with our, perhaps misplaced, dreams. MSC, Mexico, the Utah Basin....its not small stuff is it?

Agree entirely 46G. Over the ten years in which I have been invested, this has increasingly become a binary share for me; its either going to go (a long way), or its bust. 6p or 8p is not really important, but I suspect that this philosophy is true for the many of us that have been invested for so long, we have just seen too much! If I had got in last week, I guess 5p and cashing in would appeal enormously.

This is why I so rarely post...always seem to say the wrong thing! I did think your fist post lacked the sentiment though! Haggis; I am not decrying your opinion, merely stating mine, which is entirely at odds with yours. I guess this is precisely what these boards are for.

I have been invested here for far too many years and I have been a "lurker" on the forum for a number of those. Personally speaking, I am anxious about my investment here. As you rightly say, it is not reasonable to expect news of any significance to come from anything other than an RNS, but I am actually extremely grateful to those who made an effort to gain an audience with QFI, ask some further questions and report the answers. The net result, as you also say, is of little value in investment terms, but for me, worth a lot in personal terms, because at least we know what may and may not be in play and at least they have managed to comment upon the way in which QFI communicate with shareholders, which has long been my main issue with the board. In my view, anything helps, however uninspired it leaves me feeling. So from me, personally, thank you to those who made the effort and especially for sharing the results of that, which they did not have to.

Wonga, its a very positive view and I truly hope you are right, but as we know, the lurking presence of an oil major is speculation and we have no idea if whoever is behind the Viston bid is remotely interested in QFI's potentially ground breaking technology.

For me, this is all about our new beginnings; we have a new COO, its a new year, some even suggest that Covid is appearing in the rear view mirror, and its the perfect time for the new management to open up and communicate with us, as soon as they are in a position to update on any "potential" project. I accept that they may be no wiser than us at present and positive speculation is all any of us have, so I welcome your post and its sentiment, but I (and I am sure many other investors here) am even more intrigued to see how the new regime sets the tone for us. Their next few moves will determine my decision to stick with this or cash in my losses and run and I so hope it is the former.

If its a QFI rocket, we can get delayed for any reason we like, and we wont have to tell anyone why. We can save some money by not actually putting an engine in it, because we probably couldn't make the fuel anyway and even if we could, that can always be delayed. We could put one of us in charge, pay them about £350k a year and they can make a few calls to NASA and justify telling everyone that we are working on some "plans" for some quarter of next year, or the one after, and they would still have plenty of time to for another job. And, when we get fed up with that person, we can line up someone else and tell everyone that we have done so, but we wont actually need to tell anyone who that is....its Genius, but I think I may have heard something similar before!
