RE: There is life...18 Jan 2018 07:36
Derek, all I know is information garnered from my conversations with people who have a direct link to Central Rand, ie the Chairman. Whilst none of the information has been sensitive, it has shown me the workings going on behind the scenes trying to save our company. In November I would guess that CRND was within a few moments of going bust and calling in the administrators. I firmly believe that without Simon Charles's efforts, we as shareholders would be having a bun fight over the assets. Fast forward to January 2018 and we have a glimmer of hope - a New Hope? We are not bust, we have a new loan facility, we are mining for Gold ( OK, using tollings and surface material but lets not get too hung up on this ) we are making a little amount. Skip to February 2018 and we will have our concentrator on line. This will multiply the amount of material going forward by a factory of 4. If our costs stay relatively the same, it stands to reason that we will go from a negative to a positive in a very short space of time. Now, we can all look back and quote chapter and verse about missed deadlines, poor news flow, too much rain, not enough rain ( I know you cant make this stuff up! ) incorrect results from testing etc etc. However, we now have some very experienced gold miners on board, a new loan facility and the beginnings of a team who I hope can turn this world class asset into exactly that, a world class asset. Sit back, have a little more patience and lets see how the next few months unfold. Oh, if you have shares contact the company you purchased them through and get them to confirm the amount etc. I've never had to do this before so thats what I will be doing. As always DYOR.
