The long term trend will continue to move in an upwards direction for all the major housebuilders, regardless of who is in government. That's not to say this government isn't terrible - it is, but investors should see these low prices as a golden opportunity to accumulate. Bottom line, the UK is a small island 40x smaller than Canada but with twice the population. Demand far outstrips supply, the population continues to boom - new houses are going to be in high demand for many years to come, decades infact. At some point we'll have a change of government, Reform quite possibly, and the boom years will be back. Right now it's all about accumulating and seeing the longer term opportunity.

House prices have consistently increased for decades, demand has consistently outstripped supply keeping prices high. Bottom line, the UK is a small island 40x smaller than Canada but with twice the population. And population continues to boom. New homes will be in huge demand in the UK for many decades to come. There'll be periods of doom and gloom where prices may fall a bit and demand may ease a bit, as has always been the case, but for as long as we're a small island with a booming population, a renewed surge in demand will never be far away.

It would take a Reform government to really send these shares into orbit. It could well happen around 2029 but until then the economic doom and gloom is likely to continue. It's a case of buy during the starmer years and hold on for better days when we have a change of government.

Trump is said to be furious with Starmer for the government's attempts at interfering in the 2024 election. They are said to have proof the starmer government was trying to interfere in the swing states and some in the administration are calling it treason, worthy of the most severe of responses including sanctions and international tribunals and criminal charges. And then there's the allegations of a mass cover up of the abuse scandal which musk has been extremely vocal about (with the blessing of trump we might add). Not sure how much longer this government will be in power? Can they survive the US finding them guilty of criminal wrongdoings for example? The UK is in uncharted territory, we just don't know.

Brexit hasn't been delivered under the conserv/labour governments. Pulling out of the ECHR would have solved the boat crisis for starters.

The shares are cheap but look at the dire state of this country under this labour government. We face years of economic gloom, rocketing energy prices, high cost of living, unaffordable housing, uncontrolled immigration and open borders, soaring crime, high taxes, soaring council taxes, less money in all our pockets, employer cutbacks - it's impossible to see even the slightest glimmer of hope. We're stuck with this until 2029 until this government can finally be kicked out and reform can sort this mess out. Then and only then will we finally have something to feel positive about. Then and only then will UK stocks finally begin to move back up again. The house builders absolutely will be worth buying again but it's going to be a long, long wait for investors.

The issue i have is this government. They couldn't run a bath let alone a country - the economic outlook is dire, indeed we are on the cusp of recession. Employers are cutting back, jobs will be lost and the cost of living is rising all the time. Labour is banging on about building more houses but house builders aren't going to be able to sell them in this climate of gloom. It'll come to the point where they'll be forced to either slow down or stop building, work on developments will slow or be paused. Reform would turn things around if they win the next general election, but that's a long way off. Until then, it's difficult to feel excited and optimistic about any sector in the UK, other than perhaps companies like Serco making a fortune off the asylum system and prisons. The UK under this government is fcked. The house builders will be worth buying again but for investors i suspect it's going to be a VERY long wait.

The charts look extremely bearish, this is a falling knife right now and as they say the only safe time to catch a falling knife is when the blade is firmly stuck in the floor, won't be touching this until it flatlines and forms a definite baseline

Chartists would disagree. Draw a straight line across the screen from the 2015 low to the 2020 low and you'll see where this could bottom next year. It's potentially around the £1.70 mark although it probably wouldn't stay below £2 for more than a few days. We're all entitled to our views, I'm just stating mine. Thats where I think this is heading.

Going by the charts, could we see this bottom out at just below £2 in 2025? Similar to the lows of 2015 and 2020? Followed perhaps by a strong rebound to over £6 by 2027/8? I'll keep watching from the sidelines for now.

12.50b shares in issue? 😬 Is that a record for an aim stock? Unfortunately this company has a long trsck record of diluting shareholders into oblivion whilst simultaneously failing to deliver anything that might increase shareholder value. It might boom one day but then again you might win the euro millions jackpot one day too, probably about the same odds as well?

Trump will 100% end the Ukraine war if he wins. The UK economy is in dire doo doos under this labour government and that's unlikely to change, but if Trump wins, even before he begins work on ending the conflict, global markets are almost certainly going to rally because investors will be betting on him ending it within a few weeks. And it'll be those stocks most badly affected by the war that have been beaten down that'll bounce the hardest. If Harris wins, god help us is all I'll say on that - the world will be in a very dark place indeed.
