Thanks for the replies…I understand what you're both saying but it can’t be as simple as testing it out surely…firstly coz Telfer ore will have been running through the mill for a couple of years anyway by the time Havieron comes online, so no need to ‘test’ or ‘optimise’ that. And also, the ore from Havieron won’t be enough for both trains anyway, so why would we switch between the two for that reason? Surely one train will always be running Telfer ore (and possible other sources - antipa ore can be mixed with Telfer ore for example) and the other train will take care of Havieron when it comes online. We know the two types of ore can’t and won’t be mixed. Feels like SD was intimating something else, but unless told otherwise, thanks for the explanations.

From around 44:30 minutes till 53:00…he basically tells us the whole future plans for GGP. It is by far the most comprehensive outlook he has given us for the combined future of Telfer, Havieron, Paterson processing hub and future Brown and Green field drilling.

He talks about ‘optimisation’ that is only usually linked to majors, through our ability to mine both ore bodies together and working them in a way that most miners aren’t able due to usually having only one asset. It’s an amazing ten minutes of chat that seems to set us up for the next 20 years.

One question for the more knowledgable on here…when he talks about Havieron ore coming online…he mentions something about…”2 week campaign with Telfer Ore and then 2 week campaign with Havieron ore” and says this way it will ‘optimise’ our mine for the next 20+ years. It’s pretty much impossible to google ‘gold mining campaign’ in order to find out more about this. Does anyone know what is meant by this ‘campaign’ part?

Anyone who hasn’t listened to this or wants to see what SD has in store for GGP, then these ten mins pretty much encapsulate everything, including, never using the $750m bank loan facility.

There’s so many paths that could be taken. Can’t see us ever really wanting to buy Antipa outright. More likely to be a processor for them if they wish, though might be hard getting the stuff down to Telfer.

However, if Bamps is right and we find another X amount of million ounces at Telfer, which leads to the LOM being over ten+ years, then I wouldn’t mind a JV with Antipa to build a whole new processing plant somewhere in the Paterson (closer to Hav obvs- somewhere between the two). We split the bill (%wise) depending on usage and location obvs. But we know Havieron is gonna have 20moz+ down there. For me it makes sense to build a whole new plant for Havieron alone. Truck/train/conveyor to Telfer will always be limited. But imagine Telfer working through its own ounces for the next X years side by side with another Plant at Havieron producing those X ounces! $$$ (Lots of red tape to get permission, but in the long term that would be unbelievable value for GGP!!!)

Hmmm…but you’re happy to let other post about Newmont/De Grey/Northern Star etc? Well, it’s either double standards you have or a vendetta and neither are good.

When GGP first found Havieron, Telfer/SD/Newmont/Newcrest were all sideshows. You just never know which direction things will take.

Give it a little rest please Ace. They’re might be a few of you that don’t like to talk about Antipa, but I bet there’s hundreds in the background that are interested. It would silly not to keep abreast of their goings on, considering we’re so close to each other. They might even want to use Telfer in future, so it’s good for us to know how much gold they have or gonna have.

Chances are in future, both companies works will align in some way or another. It would be silly of them not to work together if it’s possible. There’s gonna be lots to do over the next ten/twenty years all over the Paterson and all the players there will somehow become entwined. Plus the fact we own some of Antipa.

Lovely RNS to wake up to. Shame it hasn’t moved us much, but steps in the right direction always welcome. I sometimes wonder if Cobra would have been better on AIM rather than main market. Lots more bureaucracy and limits on the main market, but also gets rid of the Wild West aspect, so catch 22 really.

Although I don’t agree with most of Southern’s sentiment, SD definitely said that statement. Can’t remember where but his face was showing so it was a video call. It’s also not a big deal, so don’t see how it would become “a thing” to talk about. Makes sense really. It’s better to go over £1 organically than with a consolidation, but as others have said, there’s no rule that says it needs to be 10-1.

Onwards and upwards. We’re now producers and good ones at that by the looks. Let the good news keep coming.

The only stumbling block in my eyes for the consolidation is Shaun’s statement about not wanting to go over £1 through consolidation. That limits us to under 10p if it’s a 10-1. If the share price picks up pace, it might have to be less than a 10-1 consolidation, which would still leave a large number of shares in issue.

No idea what happened to the caps at the start of each sentence there. Apologies for the awkward read 🙄

i think you misunderstood my sentiment. at least you’re talking about retirement though, which in my eyes, after x amount of years working, sounds like a good thing. “loftmonkey” on the other hand seems to be killing himself off pretty soon. go figure.

i didn’t mean it would take 10 years to start producing. we basically become a ‘producer’ as soon as this telfer deal is finalised. from day one of the ‘key’ exchange, we have gold coming out of telfer. what i meant by 3/5/10 years is how the company carries on going forwards. some people like to sit on their laurels, some don’t value money as highly as others, some want an easy working day…once telfer is in our hands and producing, we’re making money (for the first time in our short company’s lifespan)…after that comes havieron at the roughly 2/3 year mark. this equates to more revenue and profit. after that, it’s anyone’s guess where the company heads. they could just happily sit on that one mine for the next 20/30 years and be a comfortable profitable company. this is why i said ‘board and company ambition’.

if they’re “ambitious”, then the sky is the limit. profits breed growth, breed investment, breed expansion…but that is all down to the individual(s)…they don’t have to make more money…hence why so many companies change owners/boards members/ceo’s, before becoming multi-national, multi-faceted and ‘multi-asset, multi-commodity’ (which is shaun’s favourite word combo). after the profits start coming in, is when you get the true sense of man’s objectives and desires. i don’t blame anyone for taking their profit in a big company and living happily with their favourite people, doing absolutely nothing extra. after all, more hours in the day with the people we love or more hours doing the things we love, are the most valuable commodities in the world.

hope this explains it better for you. you seem to be a ggp investor for many years, but getting a bit disheartened, which can probably be said for a lot of us. i felt your reply was genuine.

the 2020, 30p+ run was false…the factors involved around that time are too numerous to even mention. they’ve been stated here many times in the past, most recently by starbright. we just happened to get caught up in all that, whilst in a uniquely lucky explorer company.

but what really gets my goat…and why i don’t frequent this board as much as i did, is the pure lack of decency that seems to exist. people make mistakes, and yes, a lot of us long termers made massive ones! a lot of us are/were newbies, learners, interested parties just trying to educate ourselves and help each other along a potential path. over the years we became more knowledgeable and we use that to benefit ourselves and whoever we can. and yet, people are happy ****ging, laughing, mocking, reminding people of these mistakes. these kinds of people are dangerous to be around and will never be help

Let’s all…chill…relax…calm down…we are about to enter that 0.1% group…after that, with ‘compound growth’ and ‘leverage’…the next 3/5/10 years are only limited by the company and board’s ambitions!!!

Was their any mention or questions about the GDX and when/if they would have to buy in to GGP as and when we become producers?

Hey Chuffchuff, I think we will get a lot of excitement from Havieron over the next two years because as soon as the decline reaches the ore body, SD has said he wants to start the “fan drilling” from down there. I can’t wait to see the ‘intercepts’ that will come from those drill results!!!

Someone will ask about a possible ASX raise and I’m fine with that. But as a follow on to that question could someone ask this:

“Now that we will be producers/miners before eventually listing on the ASX, is there any chance the raise will come with a premium as opposed to discount to the SP?” Surely this makes sense now we’ve moved up the gears.

I totally accept the discount for the Havieron/Telfer deal as it was for a large amount of cash, it included institutions and the climate right now is bad for raising capital. However, after the dust settles, we should be in a position to raise money going forward with premium raises.

I’m starting to think that it might be more economically viable in the long run to build a new processing plant just for Havieron. Could end up being cheaper than hauling it all for 30+ years. With over 20moz at Havieron, in my eyes it would be the sensible thing to do to increase the profits from Havieron substantially for the long term. Let Telfer be a central hub for everyone one else and all the small deposits whilst Havieron gets a purpose built, multi commodity plant all to itself.
