We are being used in over 20 hospitals and actually by more hospitals as not all hospitals have the equipment for running the test. We got accredited by PHE and stated to being used. PHE spokesperson said to national newspaper “the reason we don’t use the tests so much is we can’t get enough of it” (in similar words was in express). Only 3 tests being used. One is Roche ( a major) one is phe I think and then us sooooo yeh if you were a bookie the odds would be slashed that novacyt and gsk/Astra tie up. That rns. Well just wow but let’s see anyway if there is an rns tomorrow and if there is then we can rocket and boom

Yes swabs. And it was a test that was being urged to buy missed 3/4 results. Not us as we are one of only 3 approved by PHE and being used by nhs. Probably the Liverpool 10min test

Standard day here. Arguing increased as expected. It’s Thursday, starts to rise on a Thursday afternoon back and then Friday rise. Be nice if novacyt just catch some out and drop an rns early on a Thursday for a change rather than a Friday or Monday

Yeh fair lp it will come. You can see the daily/weekly patterns. Very relaxed here. Tomorrow (even without news) will be the build up for Friday and then not wanting to be out for the weekend. I’m still waiting for a tr1 from iis think that one is due.

Eh? Why would you back GDR something that isn't even ready or tested. Novacyt really have the government bent over a desk right now, the government (horrible to say but even if it is a token order or something) are going to have to increase/respond/order from novacyt - they cant slate the product as over 21 nhs hospitals use it and it is one of only 3 to be recommended by PHE plus all the fdas and 80 countries use it. The government should realise that if novacyt release another rns eg US sales or something before they act, the abuse/criticism hurled at them is going to increase 10 fold.

As I have said for weeks, it is time for the government to approach novacyt and say "right what do we need to do for you to enable you to make us millions of test kits asap for the nhs". if this means seconding/securing even more external manufacturing so be it. If they want to use our expertise to evolve the testing so be it. if they want us to work with a major so be it You throw the kitchen sink at it, now is not a time to be to proud, make the call, bring novacyt "in house" so to say.

I know the government say they don't have the labs etc. but it is time to bring on board all the university spaces, resource etc. if germany can be doing so much testing then so can we.

I have now seen links from france, usa, Czech republic, all over uk, asia - all reporting the exact same thing how we the UK don't have enough test kits yet we have novacyt and they are selling to over 80 countries worldwide. It is embarrassing that the uk government is being laughed at, that on their own doorstep they have the kit producer/provider. The government now has to act fast and quick.

They had best get on the phone to primerdesign and order more. What an interview he has been ruined. Spin spin spin.

I don’t know why it is even being discussed or people are worrying about the media reports. It’s not like the kits aren’t being used or sold. If anything it will force the government to order more to keep the media quiet so surely a good thing
