Eternal dilemma of when to take profits, especially on good old AIM. There is a school of thought to let your winners run, especially if you believe in the fundamentals, but I've been stung before doing that as you never know what may be around the corner and the old adage of no-one going bust taking a profit rings ever true in my head. No right or wrong answer of course; it's what makes a market and all that.

Agreed Francky85 - may be an element of "risking off" but seems to be largely buy on rumour and sell on news and all that jazz. SP pretty much back where it started now. £2 next target.

Or the 200k buyer from this morning selling a sufficient amount to leave themselves with free shares. Though, to be honest, iaintgotaclu but I hope this will be a Multibagger1.

Wasn't necessarily indicating a P&D. Clearly something going on behind the scenes; the company has great patents and you have great patience for watching for 6 or 7 years! Hope all turns out well for you.

Market chatter about Gotham City Research planning on releasing a report - seems all to have been caused by a tweet; I believe GCR have said it's actually another company they're short of.

As always, looks positive... until you get to the bit about funding and continuing as a going concern. Let's hope the appointed financial advisers can assist with the process without overly smashing shareholder's backdoor in.

Aye, couldn't agree more. Clearly all sorts of folk on these boards with various motivations and perhaps their comments can influence an sp in more thinly traded stocks but the continual postings on every single tick up/down with spurious price targets, MM castigation and sniping get oh so tiresome. Starts becoming self-perpetuating to an extent on some stocks once they're on the Risers page here and the boards start getting busier; sometimes I try to ward folk against relying on "respected posters" / Twitter chat etc but like talking to a brick wall most of the time so best to let people make their own mistakes and it's not really my concern anyway I suppose! I've been in since first reading about it in Simon Thompson's column in Investor's Chronicle in February and have seen my investment double; could possibly have traded some of the swings but that's probably hindsight bias shining through. Latest update suggests running profits and (for what it's worth) Zak Mir note today on Shareprophets reckons that, provided no break below 163p support, the trend channel supports a move to 200p in the short term after we bounced off 20 day moving average of 151p. Make of that what you will...!

Agree to an extent with being in and out, and possibly would be myself if my holding wasn't currently frozen, though think that's partly hindsight and actually catching the peak to sell and trough to buy isn't always so easy. Adding on charges and constantly monitoring etc then, personally, think best to stick with Buy & Hold if you believe in the stock/story but does depend on a case by case basis. If this was in the resource sector I'd most likely have taken some profit / left myself with free shares but it ain't, so I won't. (Cue imminent correction to sub-£1.)

Saw this yesterday and it really is completely bizarre. Someone bought 1,237 shares on 6th May @ 4.75p and then same shape sold yesterday for 0.09p?! Not a material loss I suppose but still a bit queer. And then someone has paid over the Ask today? Holding now worth £50 at bid price?!

Once again your response is nowt at all to do with the point being made but you keep hammering out the tripe old bean. Not 100% sure what I'm meant to be jealous about as neither of us are invested, though that's clearly one of your stock phrases in lieu of any sort of self-awareness. Not really the point I'm making. Referring more to your desire to post that it's a 50-bagger, which seemed disingenuous at best. Like I say, have seen you around these boards spouting repetitive, uber-bullish gubbins so will let anyone who reads your posting history make their own minds up. Good luck.

As is noted by Knowbody - long may it last indeed. I try to ignore the majority of what is posted on these boards nowadays as think a large number of individuals have ulterior motives; if they don't then they really need to appraise whether AIM is the right market for them. Don't get me wrong, some do speak sense or try to add value to a discussion but often get drowned out by baseless cries of ramping / deramping / market maker games blah di blah blah. So I tend to leave them to it as think the best way people will learn is from their own mistakes rather than get caught up in the excitement which is often perpetuated, innocently or not, by certain folk or "respected posters" as they're often called. Suppose it means people still have the cushion of someone else to blame for if/when their own investment decisions, if you can call them that, turn sour but all part of maturing as an investor (speculator) I guess.

Fair enough and that's obviously your shout. Can understand where judge was coming from though as does get tiresome with a lot of the bullish, repetitive spouting and ulterior motives. Can easily suck investors in and have seen it more times than I can remember but then the flipside is that it's not my/our job to help newbies as such and people have to learn from their mistakes. Plus you get called a deramper when simply urging caution so I don't really bother now and let people figure things out themselves. I did post just before open today that sp would likely climb but have been on the wrong side of positive RNS before which seem uber-positive but fail to confirm figures so feels more like a momentum trade for me today than a Buy & Hold. I may just be wary due to bullish RNS often preceding placings but maybe that's more due to my preference for the resource sector. On that note, and this isn't a de-ramp, having looked at the 2014 prelims, would you say the company is fully financed? Good to an extent that cash used to repay debt and finance investments but, at very high level, someone with a more bearish outlook may be nervous with the cash position. Having had a quick look at the contract RNS releases I can't see any revenue confirmation there either? Any reasoned and intelligent comments welcome, even if to show me how wrong/thick my thoughts are...

Think judge largely referring to skier1; I've seen his/her posting history and does seem to continually repeat obvious information telling everyone how much a share has gone up before usually disappearing from the board. Rinse, wash, repeat. Oh well, each to their own.
