The UK has decided to allow the virus to spread widely amongst the population, on the basis that they believe that in tandem with telling the people in at risk categories to stay at home for 3 months, that this is the best way to ensure firstly that the NHS can cope and secondly that we will hopefully only have one wave of the virus because herd immunity will have built up.

In contrast, other countries have tried to stem the spread of the virus by taking more drastic action and locking down towns and cities where there are outbreaks, the downside to this is that a second wave of the virus is likely to hit within the coming weeks and months.

I sincerely hope that the UK approach works, it is as I say a gamble, but it might end up being the best approach, and in any case it is now too late to change tack.

Being alive and my family and friends being alive in a years time would be good !

This virus is very serious and people will die because we don’t have enough - intensive care beds, nurses, doctors

Please ensure that you tell all of your relatives and friends that just because they may be young and apparently healthy, it doesn’t mean that they cannot fall seriously ill with this virus.

My daughter is aware of two cases of previously fit men in their very early forties, who have both fallen so ill with the virus that they have had to be intubated and taken into intensive care.

So all these fools who think that they won’t be badly affected because they are young and fit need to realise that is not always the case, and they need to follow the latest government advice just like everyone else.

My mums 100 and living at home, my sisters take it in turn to stay overnight and I visit during the day, my sisters are all in their 70s !

My daughter is a doctor working in a hospital on the respiratory ward.

She is dealing with patients who are confirmed as having covid-19, and those who potentially have contracted it.

She was due to move to a different specialism within the hospital in two weeks time, but has just been told that they need her to stay where she is, which clearly means that she will be at risk for many months.

Her response was to simply say “that’s why I became a doctor dad”

To say I am worried for her is an understatement.

To say I am proud of her is so much of an understatement that words fail me.

I suspect that most if not all of us will have relatives in the at risk categories, and or, as I’d the case with me, be in one of the categories ourselves, this virus puts things into perspective, if I lose all my money here I will be unhappy, but if I lose family and or friends to this virus I will be devastated.

Keep well all of you, and think of the people working on the front line.

We are not the only company that is massively down marstons is down more than us as are several others.

The Dow dropped so fast that they stopped trading again and it’s still massively down.

All of us that hold shares here can do nothing but hold and hope that’s the virus plays itself out and that we can keep producing and ramping up whilst it does.

There have been many more trades if you look on the stick exchange website you can see them all, LSE has not shown any trades in the afternoon for about a week or more mate.

There have been buys as well as sells the MM’s have marked pretty much every company down the volume is circa 53 million and the mid market price is 0.14

The fear mongers would have us believe that WRES is going to go under because it’s not performing and that the drop in the SP is because of this and not because of the virus, this is of course complete rubbish.

The fact is that every company is down massively on the 2nd of January WRES was 0.30p we are now at 0.18 which is a 40% drop, nearly all of which has been since the virus started up seriously in Europe, but if we look at for example Lloyd’s bank they were 63.71p on the 2nd of January and they are currently at 33.15p which is a drop of 52%.

So as you can see we are fairing ok when you consider the realities of what’s going on in all markets.

Nil desperandum, WRES is still ramping up and still producing and still shipping tungsten and tin.

You don’t post facts you are simply trying to scare people.

The markets are in a nose dive, which is unsurprising given the virus, and that’s why Wres is at the price it is.

Stating that you think there will be a sell off Is not a fact, it’s you scaremongering, you know full well that with the markets falling around the world lower prices are more than likely in most shares.

You are a very sad individual, I feel sorry for you, and pity you, you must have an awful life to behave the way back that you do.

The RNS was needed and certainly makes me feel a little better.

Even now though we are plagued by stupid comments from a clown, what a nasty individual he truly is.

The consensus from everyone I work with is that this strategy is a joke.

You did pose that question but you also gave an answer, or at least your view, which was why I posted back to you, your full sentence read:-

“what is right or wrong in that situation? Surely the mother and daughter should decide what they think is best for them.”

So, in simple terms my view is that what is wrong is that in visiting they increase the likelihood that others will contract the virus - it’s as simple as that.
