Egg chaser and franny
I am sure that you are both nice guys and you clearly have strong views about getting out of Europe, which is fine, albeit that personally I disagree with you.
Democracy is a funny thing, you are of course correct that there was a referendum and those who voted decided by a narrow margin to leave, however I would point out to you the following:-
Firstly many people voted to leave based upon the statements made by people such as BJ, and much of what he said has now been proven to be untrue, so people were misled.
Secondly many people voted to leave because they believed that immigration would be controlled and that as a result the British unemployed would in future all be able to be employed, but the problem is that many British people do not want to do the jobs that the Europeans were and are doing in for example the NHS and farming, and what this is likely to mean is that the NHS will deteriorate further, and food prices will go up, not I would suggest, things which must people would want.
I could go on and on with a list of things but frankly there is no point.
TMs deal will not get through parliament, her government may or may not fall as a result, but the most likely thing now is that a further referendum will have to be held, and actually doing that is democracy, because it will allow people to vote on the facts and not on the fiction.
Political parties get voted into power which is democracy at work, and sometimes those political parties are unable to govern it for other rebasing decide to call another general election, that too is democracy, some governments have only lasted a few months and then the political tide has turned on them, so holding another referendum based on facts is perfectly democratic and actually it is likely to assist in re-uniting a country that is currently devisivly split and as such in my view holding a new referendum is absolutely the right thing to do.
I do not want to fall out with anyone we all have the absolute right to our own opinions and I am certainly not going to be arguing with anyone over this, too much of that is and has been going on and it simply fuels further division, which is not helpful.
I respect your views and the right for you to hold those views, but I do not agree with them.
