The Q3 results will be off the map - with gas probing new levels we look like being cold (supply issues) but wealthy. Brent looks like being $70+ throughout the quarter. Add to this the world getting on top of the virus, with virus variants being met with vaccine modifications & we are looking at returning demand dynamics and a much rosier picture overall:

The Co-op has announced a partnership with Amazon Prime, inviting people to do their whole grocery shop online with same day delivery.

This seems to have gone under the radar when it is such big news for Deliveroo. The Times talks of it being "controversial" because the Competition & Markets Authority originally conducted a protracted investigation into Amazons 12.5% stake in Deliveroo & this tweaks the tail of the regulator.

Maybe it would have worked better, PR wise, if Amazon had teamed up with a couple of old pensioners with electric bikes in the Midlands!

Normally we spend about half the week in the Scottish Borders with a fixed price electricity contract, multi-fuel fire, plenty of gas canisters for cooking and lighting, & oil-fired central heating - I think this winter we might need all of them. You are dead right fixed price is the way to go.

Ultimately, the UK Government will determine what happens with any bid. An HP bid could be entertaining, although unlikely, if they still have an appetite for ML brainchild companies. 8.1 Review Dates
8.1.1 The FTSE UK Index Series is reviewed on a quarterly basis in March, June, September and
December. A full review of the FTSE All-Share, FTSE All-Small and FTSE 350 Yield Indices will be
conducted in June.
The index reviews will be based on data from the close of business on the Tuesday before the first
Friday of the review month.
Any constituent changes will be implemented after the close of business on the third Friday of the
review month (i.e. effective Monday), following the expiry of the ICE Futures Europe futures and
options contracts.

This makes Tuesday the 30th November the data gathering point for December 2021 promotion and relegation battles!

OOps! The pressure for a waiver must have come from the Investment Banks and Institutions buying big blocks of shares. And the only reason for wanting the freedom to sell on the shares, was because that was their intention.

Over several decades I have never seen such blatant manipulation of a share price & this seems to be set to continue until the 20th September is behind us.

It would be really embarrassing if the Dark SP indicated that the company reached the level of qualification necessary for inclusion in the FTSE 100 before the official FTSE 250 announcement on the 20th September.

The SP danger of manipulation alarm bells should have been ringing when the share lock-ins were waived! If there was a reason for them being there in the first place, and there clearly was, why should the Stock Exchange have sanctioned a waiver?
