Hi, all,
I'm hoping someone can answer a question for me please.
I'm aware of the special dividend that we are expecting to receive due to the Canadian sale, but I wasn't sure if that special dividend is included in our April dividend?
I was just wondering why this month's divi is (approx) 3 times the amount that we normally get.
And, the second part to my question is...
If April's dividend doesn't include the special dividend, I'm considering selling £10k of my HSBC shares and moving them to my ISA but, I don't want to do it, if I lose my registration to have a special divi on those £10k worth of shares (make sense?).
Many thanks all.
Good morning, all,
I always keep a close eye on IAG, as I was a LTH for quite a few years, but I had a fortunate low-ish average of £1.38.
My plan was to hold until I doubled my £20k investment, which I know is small change to a lot of you, but I knew patience with the travel sector is a must.
I sold at a profit but not at the levels that I wanted, but I hope this time round, the Sp keeps on climbing above the £2 mark and beyond, and that you all make a few quid on this horse. You all deserve it.
She may have been a 3 legged donkey a few years back, but those times have gone (regardless of todays political climate) and it seems nothing is going to hold back peeps travelling intentions.
All the best folks.
All the best on here, chaps.
I've decided to sell all of my holding, which has been a painful thing, as I've been very attached to UKW.
I've been invested here for a long time, and I may mlt have made loads from a share price increase, but I've made healthy dividends along the way.
I've only sold due to other commitments in my life, and as you all know, they must come before squirrelling my money away each month on buying shares.
All the best, and long live UKW. I am sure it will be a bigger success than what it already is.
Gavster,
I've been keeping a close eye on Next Energy. I feel that maybe worth a punt as it's hit an all time low, and it's got a healthy dividend.
Sorry all for the unrelated topic.
This really is a dire time for UKW.
Greencoat are hosting a Capital Market Events to potential investors and analysts on 01/05/2024.
I was hoping to find out of names of investors who had registered to attend but I can't find that info out.
If anyone else is aware, I'd be grateful if you could share.

I've recently bought £28k worth of BT shares, but I don't use any of their services, does that mean that I shouldn't have bought in?
Buying shares in a company doesn't mean I must subscribe to their products.
I've bought in here, as I caught it at £1.05, and I believe I can make a few quid out of the current share price from my investment.
Being attached to a company can blind an investor from why we are here, which is to beat the market and make a few quid in the process.
Good luck all.
Fear not, Rizzel,
You may not have caught the 'bottom' of the Sp, but one would suggest we are at there or thereabouts.
Only God and liars buy at the bottom and sell at the top.
I'm sure you'll do fine with your £1.12 purchase.
Have a pleasant evening all.
Good afternoon, Rizzel,
I'm no Phillip Jansen, but I've just bought almost £30k worth.
I'm happy to take a healthy punt and aim for a 10-15 (hopefully more) % return.

As much as I love thos share, as soon as the ex dividend date comes on 15/02, I'm selling up.
I can only see the share price pulling back while they buy back their own shares, and then they may look to raise funds are start investing again in new projects.
I've been invested here for a long time, and I've picked up a few grands worth of dividends over the last 5 years, but I have my own commitments with cash this year, and I need this money.
This company has a great future, and I know later down the line I'll regret selling out, but share investing is a financial hobby and now I need my £30k back.
ATB folks.
Until the new tax year window opens, I can't buy anymore. I'm also itching to at todays price.
So, I wonder if the share price will pullback in the new year because we are going to find it harder to raise funds to therefore invest in new projects?
Stephen Lilly has already commented on needing patience, and maybe something might transpire after the share buyback but I've always been bullish on UKW, and I still am, but it doesn't mean I'd rather buy on the troughs than the peaks!
No matter what. UKW has a great future.
