I'm not the one who crowed about the type of property I could buy when 35% up.
You did. And when an easy search on how much an average property could be, you've then been mocked as you'd have to be sitting on over £600,000 of an investment in this company.
Take it on the chin. It's all good, pal.
Maybeonedaysoon,
I am sorry but you're the pantomime villain.
I just don't understand why you constantly call people names and throw slurs around. You don't need to tarnish everyone.
Myself and another poster picked up on your comments of your healthy profit should we hit £2, and then you back peddled and it seems as a result of this slight embarrassment you've stepped up your abuse.
Take it easy. Chill. It's Sunday evening.
All the best.
"At 200 I could quite easily buy a small house in Newquay with my profits."
I see Maybeonedaysoon just won't let it go and he keeps referring to me as a clown with poor arithmetic skills.
If he knew my background, he'd know that is something I do not lack!
Seeing as we are mentioning numbers...
Maybeonedaysoon said if IAG hit £2 he could buy a small house in Newquay with his profits, and that he's invested in
IAG at £1.48.
I was just tap tapping away on my phone, and Right Move shows the cheapest 2 bed terraced house for sale in Newquay is £215k.
Well, if IAG was at £2 then he would be in 35% profit based on his £1.48 investment.
If 35% would buy him a £215,000 house, then he must have £614,285 at £1.48 to start with.
Is that what he has invested in IAG.....?? Really.
And, I should apologise. When I first quickly calculated what the value of his initial investment must be I said £600,000.
I obviously way off.....shame on me.
Afternoon.
GRQ.
I'll happily take £2, whenever that may come.
I can't fault some for getting nervous last Friday and selling some or all of their holding. Some folk have already commented, to which I agree, that tomorrow is likely to be a + day due to the overreaction / nervousness of some.
I did read a report about whether Gallego will look to pay down the debt via the current strong revenue, which will inevitably take time or complete a substantial placing to expedite the debt repayments.
Personally, I'd choose the former and let debt be slowly chipped away.
Presuming the desire for holidaying under our difficult climate continues, then our revenue will comfortably manage the debt.
All the best.
Crikey, Maybeonedaysoon.
Let it go. Sooner you accept you made a slip with your own disclosure then I'm sure others will stop going on about it too. I'm sure no one truly cares whether you hold IAG or not.
All you need to understand going forward is; learn the difference between what a house is and what a 1 bed studio flat is....
Happy Sunday.

Maybeonedaysoon,
I imagine with your heavily invested '£600,000' in IAG at £1.48, you may start to consider selling as a few minor % is a massive loss with that kind of holding.
It seems odd that you're heavily invested you worry as much as you do but you remain a shareholder.
Happy *hic* Saturday evening folks.

To be fair, Fordm,
He did try and blunder his way out of his "house / studio / mansion....." post.
It's clear he didn't think about what he was saying, and just so the little scamp knows, I don't care about his holdings but the point to my post is;
He is clearly fibbing about his holding and therefore cannot be believed. His backstory as a holder is nonsense and he's exposed as, well, as a you know what...
Happy Friday everyone
GRQ
Maybeonedaysoon,
You then said;
"Ok, I let a bit of personal info out."
No, you don't let personal info out. You realise (after the mathematics was examined to you) that you made a slight error.
It's ok. It really matters not. I'm not here to vilify you or anyone.
As per my original post to your, bragging free Newquay house said; I always find it interesting what others have dared to invest in this company.
All the best.
GRQ
Oh dear, Maybeonedaysoon,
I guess you were quick to project how a £2 IAG return would afford you a small Newquay house, now you're retracting by saying it's a studio flat and or something smaller.
You can't crow about it being a "house" in one hand, but then excuse it in another.
Nonetheless, even if you're anonymous (35% profit) properly is worth £100,000 that still means your average SP in IAG is around £300,000.
A company that you predicted the SP would fall, but continued to hold, and (therefore) lost in that time £20k - does that make sense?
Maybe you shouldn't criticise others and their financial wisdom when yours nakes little..
All the best

Hi, Maybeonedaysoon,
I guess the logic is simple.
You posted the below comment;
"I’m in significantly at 148. At 200 I could quite easily buy a small house in Newquay with my profits."
If IAG reaches £2, that will mean from your £1.48 investment is 35% up.
If a small house is worth £200k, which you could buy from your 35% profit, that would mean your holding would be in the region of £600,000 to have a profit of £200k.
All the best.
Apologies, Maybeonedaysoon,
May be my question was clumsily asked.
You've got such a huge amount of money invested here, and you firmly believed there would be a drop today, which means you could have saved yourself in the region of £30,000.
I guess for a layman, such as myself, I'd find that kikd of loss twitch worthy.
And that's why I said I bow down to your knowledge, as you clearly have brass balls as you've got £600,000 invested here and you're on the cusp of touching upon a loss.
To invest that much you must already be a millionaire, so I wonder why you prattle about on sites such as this.
Nonetheless, I never thought we would retrace today. I mever thought we would catapult how many had hoped.
I almost triggered the sell button when we were dropping, as I'm in profit from £1.35ish, but I believe from Monday we will tick up so selling today (for me) isn't wise.
All the best everyone. We are on the right path of financial recovery, but it's just a slow one.

Maybeonedaysoon,
Please accept my apologies, as I hope you don't think there has been any vitriolic tone from my myself.
I'm in awe that you have in the region of £600,000 invested in IAG at £1.48.
I imagine with this plummeting share price you may start twitching and look to exit or you may be looking to add more at your original entry point?
I've only got £17,000 invested, so any advice would be welcome.
All the best
Fordm,
Anyone who invests that much money into a company must know all that they need to about it.....
I'm his new biggest fan...
Maybeonedaysoon,
"A fool and their money!! Lolol z!!"
Erm, you've admitted to saying you have invested in the region of £600,000 in IAG.
All the best

I'm always interested in how much peeps have invested in a company.
I thought my initial £17k investment was a huge amount, but Maybeonedaysoon has topped it!
If a small house in Newquay is (say) around £200k, and you'd be in that amount of profit at £2, that must mean you have around £600k invested in IAG?!
Hats off to you for having huge cahones.
All the best.
When I was 18 I had a Honda CB250N Super Dream.
I thought I looked like the dogs danglys on it but in reality, I looked like a prat.
Tomski,
If you had a Honda C90 cherry red scooter, then you would definitely win. They're collectible now.
Actually, if IAG brings it home I may get one.
All I'll need then is a side car and I'll get Olive in it...(from On The Buses) if you kidz out there are too young to remember.
Have a good Sunday all.
