Ftse expected to be up a tad this morning, so maybe "expectation" is catching up with the polls and scare stories. Others say they are waiting until after the event. ........ suppose it makes a market. I think my question is when to do another top up or if to do a top up. Better things might appear also. Reinvesting divis and compounding them over time is supposed to be good for the bank balance until you have enough, can you ever have enough? Tune, Happy birthday in advance! I suspect the changes will be very little whichever way the vote goes although it might have an impact on SP short term. I also agree the SL, along with many other companies will be fine longer term as they adjust to whatever way the wind blows. It planned to move aspects from Scotland so an EU unit will be fine. After all we pay good money for the top men to deal with these sort of issues. Still only a few months to Oct and some return via that divi. Who knows what we will be doing then. I might read this post again with the benefit of hindsight. Anyway off to clean my crystal ball.

Nothing amazing but just getting back to something more steady LFL sales should be down, they are closing shops! Deflation is still around and I expect it to be a year or two before this actually settles. Shorts still on the high side @ 14%. Still its better than reporting terrible figures. Are these good? well no but the turnaround has to start somewhere. Not sure if we need more takeover rumour or some sell in may sell off

I can buy these at 105p and loose the divi of 1.585 (cos the IPO is ex divi) Maybe I should sell above 106.585 plus costs! Now its 108p ................ is it worth the effort

seem ok with a nice bump in the divi. SP continues upward without dipping, maybe why I want more but they still seem expensive! Maybe I should be looking at the value not the price! Anyway missed the presentation this morning so might have to catch up later

on the cards yet again. This time to pay down debt currently circa 40%. When I started out with these is had no debt, that was the attraction, now its to reduce it to 20 - 30% over the longer term Maybe the cynic in me thinks that the board get a percentage of the size so its better for them to grow overall at the expense of the shareholders who pay the debt interest. Does that make me sound bitter or am I missing the bit which is good for the shareholders (apart from not being diluted) Still maybe bigger is better and then they can make bigger efficiencies overall.
