testpack3, Its not just the fuel efficiency, noise, safety, environmental and reliability will also be factors as well as cost. Fuel efficiency might be higher than your quoting, for some engines anyway. I think they were marketing as the most fuel efficient aero engine. Maybe one of the workers can provide accurate detail to the figures.
I didnt say the poo was bad or good as you suggest, just that the higher it goes the more the scales will tip toward having more fuel efficiency. As for passengers, numbers are expected to rise over the years but yes if costs rise faster then it could become the reserve of the rich (whoever they are) just as more people walked to the corner shop when fuel was "expensive" or in short supply.
Im not going to criticise your $20 figure but the market was not always open and was run as a cartel which could happen again. I noticed petrol has already jumped 3p! Not into shorting mesen, although after such a big jump I would expect some profit taking to take some off the table. Not to mention more market noise.
ARSENAL17, I know some jobs have been lost but I suspect most other people are quite happy with a lower price for something. Well except the greens maybe. A lot of people say footballers are not paid fairly but overpaid ...... then go and sign up for another year of sky. If there is a market and people are prepared to pay .....
