I have an account with the Halifax although tend to use my Iweb account which is also part of the same group with similar experiences. Its only a fiver a trade although its a larger lump sum to open an account now. You have to work out what works for you individually. Not sure what to make of the rns

Shareholders or management? Results show eps down, debt up, NAV down. Although TRIG has got bigger overall and management get a percentage. Maybe Im misreading it! Come on management get richer by all means but a least drag us along with you. Fall bigger than the divi ..... I wonder why!

Queeny, Im not sure all bikinis are sold separately but think most are maybe it depends on the maker. Mrs G has a fave made by Mantaray. I suppose it depends where your going. In the south of France less is more and no tops anywhere. Germany has many places where nowt is considered de rigueur. For Skegness I recommend a stout coat! Still GSK's bigger divi yield, reinvested over that time would help a bit even if the SP doesn't increase that much. ULVR's rise has pushed the yield down to 2.5% I too would like more ULVR but its been expensive and getting even more so over time. I would also add that GSK is not cheap now either. Still its all about the future, maybe they will both grow into their bigger shoes.

artman, I think its about expectation management and costs. Rightly you are free to move, well maybe not free but exit fees excepted, to where you wish. I too have queried when divis are paid with some of my brokers. iii are cheap and I expect some payments might be up to 10 days after the payment date. The previous broker paid out on the day, from their own funds and sorted it all out behind the scenes. It cost me a lot of money for that service and I was unwilling to pay, hence the move. Another pays out on time but Im not sure how theirs is fixed as there has been no reason to question. Good luck with your search for someone better. for me was the increase in the divi. Interim almost paying what was the main when she started. SP picking up from post brexit. Now if only she had hit that 250 mark I might have a bigger smile on my face.

Better than expected and moving in the right direction at first glance. Encouraged by reduction in debt and improving fcf but betting gods were in their favour which could change. Well you would put odds on it would and for the worse.

I would say well done with your bit of trading, after all I wasn't brave even if I though about doing exactly the same. My own thoughts are that it will bounce around a bit more hunting a level before finding a truer value later. I read one report suggesting its still worth 23p. Should all the bad news expected not materialize then it might go much higher. Still for me, with no divi (cut not yet announced) and rights issue overhang Im going to steer clear. Even moved my cash out of the broker to prevent temptation. GL to you all though

Mike, a million dollar question. If we knew we would all be doing it but my crystal ball is cloudy at best. I have had discussions along the line of sell when SP has risen to x5 years income then look to get back in at a lower price within that period. Another is to run your winners. As for my thoughts I think I will stick as is and collect the divis for the pot and wait for any retrace in SP to buy more assuming the company doesn't take a turn for the worst. I like to buy when its a high yield and well below the 200 day avg. so not now then. I dont tend to trade and looking to increase PF overall to top up on whatever seem cheap at the time. Market isnt at a low either so selling up now has a good chance of succeeding. After all the company metrics are not great and the best attraction is that lowly covered divi that is still increasing. So its a hold for me then.

SP is some 40 -50% off its highs also hence why that yield looks toppy but I could understand those who bought higher feeling aggrieved as for most people its the SP rise that is all important whereas for me its compounding those divis which have not been reinvested as the SP was too high.

From memory cover was approaching 4 times although Brexit was seen as a spanner in the works. It still could be but after the initial panic post decision people are coming around to the fact nowt is likely to change for a couple of years at least. In the mean time we have a brexit board, who hopefully can negotiate something workable and how should be able to give indications how they see things progressing. Should the worst happen then it will be up to SL. to sort out its own future, EU division? Independent Scotland in the EU, the mind boggles at what the future might hold. I suspect it will be something in the middle of ideal and worst case and the world will keep revolving and those divis will keep coming in, even if the growth gets set back a little. We might end up being big in China instead so might have to start keeping an eye out on even more FX rates

derivativetrader, I'd keep that cap on. I topped up before Brexit as I thought they had already gone too low and added another after the post Brexit fall. I was on the point of a third top up when she turned. So maybe a dunces cap for me. Still the pound is up and that first top up is now only paddling underwater instead of swimming but I was really after the divi income anyway which isnt bad for both top ups. Still a lot can happen by 19th Oct and lets hope Philip Hammond is the safe pair of hands that they make out. On the subject of anything can happen, Froome running up the mountain without a bike in the TdF wasnt expected either. Lets hope that gets sorted.

I'm not so sure about the rate cut, with a new team in cabinet expected today it might be prudent to do nothing but keep "talking" the cut, thus giving time for the new man, or woman, assuming were getting a new Chancellor of the Exchequer to get their feet under the table and give some forward guidance of their own. Whats another month anyway. As for the SP going above 300, well I expect that anyway. It was a large over reaction to market noise that took it down and when those divis start stacking up in your ISA and the noise has become a hum, this will find a more appropriate level. We are still talking a couple of years before any real action on Brexit.
