mentions Kistos' share price any more for some reason
Wonder why?
Huge decom liabs vs negligible decom liabs
Net debt (hbr might be net cash now no idea) vs net cash
Seems to be doing a Serica pre-Mercuria mcap implosion… hmmm
I'd welcome a renewables asset purchase in the future, would attract a pe closer to 20 in relation to that kind of asset as opposed to the derisory pe you get on o&g assets these days
Speaking personally, I've a solar installation on my house, the panels cost £9,500 and modelling indicates 4,400kw per year on average over the 25 years = 8.6p/kwh, current price cap is = 34p/kw, current domestic gas price is 10.3p/kw
Renewables will replace gas / oil over the long term, but for the reasons stated before, gas and oil still do have a future and the transition takes time hence why I see lots of value here still
I don’t agree, renewables are cheaper than fossil fuels for power generation that’s just a fact and the gap is widening
But will take a couple of decades to phase out fossils fuels and people forget, natural gas and oil are vital for other industrial uses other than power generation or fuel - and production globally will fall off a cliff, that’s why I’m here there’s plenty of money to be made
People on here forget just how knee jerk politics and policy is, as soon as gas prices and profits are out of the headlines the media and swivel eyed man on the street will focus on some other dog whistle sensationalist topic of the year, transgender immigrants or whatever the daily mail decides, gas prices won’t be in the headlines at all in 2024 imo
Doesn’t stop offers being made which boost the share price
Oil and gas will disappear from the agenda once the gas prices start to come down
Cash was £450m at year end but yes, ridiculous mcap whatever way you look at it
Is it down because of
1. Fears deal is going ahead
2. Fears deal is not going ahead
3. Gas futures down circa 10% today
4. Uncertainty of 1 and 2
5. General market malaise
6. Bit of all of 1 to 5
That's the thing, at the point in time the offers for sqz were indeed derisory
Doesn't your exercise basically highlight how undervalued Serica is rather than tailwind being overvalued, not much we can do about that
I'm a bit confused as to why the people posting on this bb haven't sold
We have an antivaxxer in the ranks
And to think we were all slamming the board for not taking on debt like Kistos
Quite a while off if we don’t crash further, cash was £450m at year end because of the North Eigg expenditure and on account tax payments
The EV is now £250m
Not long until somebody accuses Mercuria of being involved in pizzagate, I only drop by here every now and again for a laugh at the hysteria and conspiracy theories
The same individuals that were lambasting the board before the deal for not taking on debt like Kistos did for their first deal, are now hysterical that the board are taking on debt
