Have I got that correct based on the latest presentation? Looks like cash and equivalents increased £145m between 31 Dec 21 and 20 April 22?
The way Axa didn’t TR1 going +5% makes me suspect BP’s shares are the +5% Axa shares, bwtfdik
Try not to let it get to you mate, I’m confident this will be much higher come the end of the year
Down we go into the close
I think Labour were proposing a 10% windfall tax, I think we’d have bounced on Thursday if it’d been 10% tbh
The government of excess, in many ways
At 194p a therm by my calculations
And that rise makes sense to be honest, it’s better than I thought regarding U.K. gas prices, as it’s a double whammy
1. Markets expecting a supply squeeze as U.K. NS producers probably throttle back until after 2025 on production
2. I forget what households are getting for their energy bills but think it’s anywhere between £400 to £1000 per household this year
So in essence rishi and big dog have managed to decimate supply and increase demand (household affordability) simultaneously lol
Doesn’t seem likely looking at ttf
Imo the markets will be reacting already to the prospect of less future gas production from the North Sea for the domestic market, all rishi has done is increased the gas price in the U.K. by 25% imo

Do you not want to sell up if the BoD makes you feel that way?
If we’re moaning on this bb about the BoD being inactive, we look like Krakatoa compared to parkmead
Rumours that the wft handout to consumers will make the BoE raise rates faster and higher
Does anyone know of any debt free o&g companies sitting on £400m chucking out nearly £500k a day after wft I can invest in?
I don’t subscribe to the BoD bashing indulged yesterday and today, I understand why people are irate though lol
Well run company, strong af financially and getting stronger
25% extra corpy, wtf is that all about? I’m angry with rishi and Big Dog, not Sqz
Reminds me of the ride from 2400p to 400p in Rockrose when they had 80% of production hedged - made no sense
That was a tough month as well lol
87p/therm is $67 a barrel by my calculations, I don’t think rishi is going to get the money he wanted lmao
Somewhat a similar misadventure to the help to buy which basically added the amount to house prices
I can imagine over the long term, this will cause U.K. gas prices to rise over 25% compared to where they would have been without the tax hike (does the word hike do 25% justice?)

£400m KS
Seems likely that someone with a large holding has known about the 25% windfall tax for at least a month looking at sqz's share price performance compared to the share price performance of similar companies over the past month
Gov will probably sell it to a russian company
I'll be honest I never saw a 25% windfall tax coming, and never could have
