Bit worried about your early morning post Deas….another string to the anti vaccination argument perhaps…reduced MORALITY…...no wonder the world is going to hell in a handcart.

An interesting read, states the reduction in COVID-19 (Delta) transmission for vaccinated individuals is pretty much gone after 3 months. With vaccine passports COVID-19 will continue to spread freely across the globe, yes vaccines reduce morbidity and morality, however the efficacy rapidly drops off after 6 months. “
Think I have seen reference to it in the past?
If so there is a very positive review of the new Heathrow 3 hour test centre in today’s Travel supplement for the Daily Telegraph
As a long term holder and supporter I hate to add fuel to the fire ….but wrt effective communication I find it very poor that the Novacyt Website still opens with a statement from Graham Mullins CEO (sic).
Sorry my mistake……..didn’t get where I am today by knowing what day it was yesterday!
I enjoy reading your posts Wilson and when no-one answered thought that I would break my usual radio silence to try and help….doh!
Morning Wilson……if you want a silver lining to your cloud ….you didn’t miss much.!
Bearing in mind that I am a lth and supporter for my sins, and have been to a number of company AGMs which are inherently boring, I was not blown away by their performance.
If you read the board elsewhere you will see comments about the question of what is in stock, and Mullins saying he will remain a shareholder (although technically he only has to keep one share to make this true I suppose).
I have to agree that they did look a tad nervous which I hope is down to the ‘interregnum’ situation, and I look forward to seeing DA move them positively onwards and upwards as soon as possible.
Out on AGM results

So how should I rate the comment of Kaeren a long term and very hardworking informative poster with nearly 4000 posts against those of 'Imoffto1270' (deliberate correction in expected share price;) whose first deramp this is...........let me see.......????
thanks K
Firstly and most importantly a big thank you to Porky for his amazing work and patience on the list of questions for tomorrow.
As stated when we first discussed this early morning on the 13th of August it is my intention to try to add as much weight as possible to this initiative by not only using these questions but stating my shareholding when submitting them. The idea being that if shareholders of ‘x’ million shares all ask the same question then they are morally bound to answer it either during or as I have stated after the event.
For what it is worth I attach my intended top and tail to the agreed questions in case it is of use to anyone but am not opening it to debate so as not to cloud the issue of the agreed questions and all of Porky’s hard work!
“ I am proud to be a long term shareholder of Novacyt as evidenced by my support for your last AGM when proof was provided of my shareholding of xxxxx shares.
In common with a large number of your shareholders in a similar position I am however concerned about the consistent erosion of share value to approximately 25% of its peak during recent months.
A number of questions that arise concern communication, and therefore the initiative of the Investors Meeting is warmly welcomed.
In order to facilitate this process I have joined with a large number of your shareholders to agree the following list of questions for your consideration and response either during or soon after the event.
(Insert questions)"……
I trust that this is assistance and will allow you to reassure a significant percentage of your shareholders about the issues they hold dear, having invested large amounts of their own money to support Novacyt’s most worthwhile endeavours in these troubled times.”
@ Porky
All fair points however I am presuming that we are dealing with decent honourable people and hope that if enough shareholders ask the same question which does not rule itself out by transgressing their guidelines (ie don’t mention the war…….or should that be DHSC!) then there is a moral obligation to address it.
Furthermore, afterwards, we can then say how many shareholders submitted this question and why was it not addressed?
As I am not able to do this then I for one would be happy to select the questions that I wanted answered from a list that you offered or anyone else prepared.
To Rightbackatcha ……nothing here prevents anyone asking their own questions but of course but gives greater power to the questions most people want answered…… And before troublesome says it “the only problem with democracy is (NOT!) giving it to the people in this instance”

Well at least your name tag makes sense!!
Re the point raised by Porky and Wilson 63 on asking questions on other people’s behalf I have been thinking about this and wondering how to put pressure on the company to answer the questions that WE want answered not the ones that THEY select to answer.
I therefore wondered if we , led by Porky perhaps ?, could come up with a list of say 10 agreed prime questions which we submit to Novacyt then individual shareholders could write into the event and say “I am an investor holding xx thousand share and I would like questions 1, 4 and 7 (or whatever they feel most important) answered by your event.
A way of perhaps taking back some control and ensuring the questions that we want get answered.
Just a thought….
PS as my history will show I am a long term holder since February 20 but prefer to listen most of the time!
“ I think it's significant no directors have sold any shares (to my knowledge).”
…..so wouldn’t now be a good time to show a bit of confidence and for them to buy some more?
Sir Digby@11.40 “ It's ridiculous that we're being left in the dark, sunshine is the best disinfectant.”
Isn’t that what Donald Trump said!………joke!
This was on the BBC - interesting as it shows why one measure on its own (eg vaccines) will never stop it alone

I have been holding and adding for over a year and like others am bleeding from recent events. Have never signed up to the take over theories before but with the company in dispute with its major customer is not now the time for some larger pharmaceutical to step in and buy us out. They then get all of the IP and good products at a bargain price plus the ability to renegotiate with the government from a new standpoint?
Was hoping you would see it Wilson....sorry about the unnecessary subtitles ;).
All the best for a speedy recovery and an excellent 21/22 Tax Year.
May all your shares be in an ISA!
Don't normally do this.... but after a hundred and odd dry posts and as its Easter and your post Airlineboy about Dylan and chocolate
"Lol Ventura, I'm hoping he makes so much from his shares that he LOOKS AFTER me in the manner to which I hope to become accustomed!! I think he does love me a lot though. While he was not prepared to give me one of his Smarties Easter eggs this morning, he did sift through the little bag of smarties inside with his dubiously grubby paws and give me all the orange ones (3 of them!), telling me they were the best as they are the only ones that taste of anything! What more could a dad ask for? Lol
Have a look at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Xgk6g-ovjM it will make you smile to start off the new Tax Year. Lets hope that Novacyt keeps us smiling !
High risk that most positive tests in schools may be false
Biostatistician ‘bewildered’ as to why Government took so long to adopt policy of confirming lateral flow tests
The Daily Telegraph31 March 2021By Camilla Turner EDUCATION EDITOR and Laura Donnelly HEALTH EDITOR
THE “vast majority” of positive tests taken in schools so far are likely to be false, a leading biostatistician has said as the Government did an about-turn on its policy to confirm lateral flow results.
Official data show that the positive rate among secondary pupils is around 0.05 per cent, meaning there is a “high risk” that most rapid antigen tests carried out in schools are false positives, according to Prof Jon Deeks, of the Institute of Applied Health Research.
Of the 3,867,007 lateral flow tests that were carried out on secondary pupils, just 1,805 were positive, according to the latest figures.
Health officials say that less than one in 1,000 results is a false positive overall. However, when the virus is on the wane, there is a higher likelihood of such results, as the number of true cases falls. The positive case rate in schools equates to one in 2,142.
At a rate of one in 1,000 false positives, from 3,867,007 tests you would expect 3,867 false positives.
It comes as the Department for Education updated its guidance to say that all positive lateral flow tests taken in schools should be followed up by a confirmatory PCR test. Previously, this was only the case for tests taken by students at home. The move came after health officials said that all Covid cases picked up by lateral flow tests must be confirmed by a second check.
Prof Deeks said the Dfe’s U-turn meant that pupils will no longer have to “unnecessarily” self-isolate following a false positive. He said he was “bewildered” as to why it took the Government so long to come to this position but said it was “better late than never”.
When pupils returned to school on March 8, they were offered three lateral flow tests at school during the first two weeks. For the rest of term, they will be asked to take two tests a week at home, but schools will also keep some tests on site for pupils and staff to take as well.
The policy is being changed because the cheap mass testing becomes less reliable as overall cases of Covid falls, and does not allow results to be genetically sequenced.
Millions of people, including schoolchildren, are currently offered regular 20-minute tests to identify cases that might be otherwise missed. The system has attracted much controversy, largely because of the risks of false positives.
Crucially, the results from lateral flow tests cannot be genetically sequenced – meaning they cannot be used to identify cases of variants being imported from South Africa and Brazil.
Yesterday, health officials said that from now on, everyone with a positive result from such tests would be asked to confirm the result with a PCR test.
And they said the NHS Covid-19 app would soon be updated, so th
