It is only a matter of time before TMC/ENK make a joint formal announcement concerning the future of these. There are strong synergies between the two. I am expecting some Corporate news offering soon regarding a statement which could possibly lead to shareholder value upside.

Pennant International Group plc ("Pennant"), the supplier of integrated logistic support solutions principally to the defence, rail, aerospace and naval markets, and products and services to a number of Government Departments, is pleased to announce that Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) has awarded a services consulting contract to Pennant Canada Limited in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The contract calls for the provision of services to the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND) to optimize the use and effectiveness of Pennant's OmegaPS suite of supportability software products in use throughout DND. The contract, which allows for services to be called upon on an "as and when required basis', has been awarded for an initial two year term through to the 31st of March 2011 and has a maximum value of $CA 6.0 million. In addition, there are three one year extension options in the contract, which if exercised will extend the period of the contract through to the 31st of March 2014 and raise the maximum value of the contract to $CA 15 million.

As from 28th Feb 09 IDOX had the authority to buy back its shares. Today it announced a 1.75Mns shares buy back at 11p each. The shares will be held in Treasury for the time being. There are now 342.32Mns isc. Let us see if this policy move is shrewd and improves shareholder value.

The takeover rules do not apply unless a firm intention has been made, as I understand it, the Board was approached with a potential offer, but nothing so far has come of that approach. The Listing Rules say that potential offers for a Co must be completed within a reasonable time, this is to allow full due diligence and discussions as to offer terms to take place. The 6 month rule is where an firm offer has been received and the talks have stalled, the Takeover Panel after invoking a "put up or shut up" rule then if the offeror walks away, they cannot make another approach within a 6 month period, unless another party steps up to the plate and makes an offer for the offeree Co. Most potential offers can be concluded well within 6 months before a firm offer made or otherwise.
