It happened ....it happened and i took an embarrsing hit for 000's ..
Its utter nonsense to state that it more than likely would not have affected retail investors...what if they had a future posistion....

To try and conclude on this ...as it brings back very bitter memories.....4 seconds is a lifetime on the markets when they laid cables to gain a nano second advantage

They just shuved my challenge under the carpet and IMO robbed me blind....

Luckily I traded it back and am trading with their money...hopefully it will continue

Without doubt your posistion would have been closed out.
Sadly i speak from experience when it actually happened when i was long US Crude...i lost a shed load...and got nowhere chalenging it...
It was suggested somebody had a fat finger and added a 0 .....

Had it been the other way i am convinced ...my limit long stop would not have been filled

Attended 2 week trading course in Y2K ...cost a plenty...
Started to try trade seriously and lost 35k...all course notes binned and didnt look at ceefax or oracle SPs until 2008
Started again 2008 and made my losses back 7fold gross
How often do i look at SPs now...???? Far to often admit its obsessive....

Used to be correlation between DGIA and FTSE....Not any more....we are way behind...whilst i thought there werengood quality UK companies grossly undervalued ....i did not expect the SPs to be at the levels they are now ...even with the crash....

Still expecting 50% indices retrace befor next Bull market

Come on lads ...talk me out of it !

Just traded a tranche of FXPO for the feel good factor before i set off for Kens birthday tea

I traded 50k POG the other day ..then bough 24k back..
Worked it out that at this rate of trading its only going to take me 20 yrs to recover this years losses to date lol

Used to visit Ryan Air and Aer Lingus.....it was sensible to have a return ticket on both airlines ...just in case we had a coffee and they walked me to the check in desk...... €20 well invested I thought !!

Both Limit sell orders for POG triggerred when I was typing ....
It spiked and the shares were snatched up......looking at the POG RNS and exposure today ...could have sold to soon here but hey I can buy them back as they re traced .

Ah well off for a walk to think about next move: Lloyds, Barc, Kaz Kier ....then why not Rolls Royce.. Views on a post card please lads !!

Whilst in lockdown are you still able to walk the dog in a beautiful part of our country... I hope so mate...as what you are having to put up with now is a walk in the park to youre darkest low point in 2019 surely?

Whilst the The FTSE has gained 22% since the mid march low my guessing is that most of our portfolios havent..
I think that it will retrace again as the fall out of the lockdown becomes apparent...and the economy takes a big hit...I still see the FTSE between 4000 to 4500 and the DGIA between 14000 to 16000 mid term.
The market always relies on new money...new investors ....not sure where this is going to come from for a while
