Would this mean, Oil and gas companies listed in the UK ? Registered head offices in the UK ? Oil and gas assets in the UK (is North Sea) ? Gas companies like British Gas or SSE ?
If Seplat is not included might this then increase demand here or the whole sector just gets battered regardless.

For me this is practically proof that buybacks do not work on small scales relative to market cap.
What has this buyback achieved for us, any value for shareholders ? None whatsoever, the SP is lower by almost 10%.
Buybacks literally only reward sellers.
IMO Buyers and holders should be rewarded instead.
If they had announced a small divi on the 1st April. I bet the SP would not be lower.

There must be a transaction elsewhere missing for around 10.5m shares or they are increasing slightly.

My Buy got filled at 123.6, which i didn't expect yesterday. RSI shows oversold but could go below that trend line which could then offer more attractive buy prices. Anyway, good to increase holding way above the equivalent DRIP rate.

Some on here still seem to be looking at this company as if it was a British company with assets in Russia. It is not.
It is a Russian company that's listed on the LSE to benefit itself, legitimately grow then share the cashflow with its largely Russian shareholders.
I banged the drum of EVR before the war but pulled out of anything I had after selling mostly in the 600s as it should have been obvious they would bed back down in Moscow and take the cash.
Such a shame as the tie up with BP and the solar powered plant is an awesome project. I hope shareholders will get shares in whoever takes over the non-Russian assets, but that will be hard as the largely Russian shareholder base will not be allowed to own such assets.
The waiting game the company is playing I think is pointless. The iron curtain is going firmly back up even if Putin is executed by his own people in a revolt.
With the Russian regime showing so much aggression and obvious ambitions to invade former USSR countries and take the country back to the wrong side of communism where the pigs are firmly living in the house, it is perfectly right the UK respond positively to Ukraine's requests of arms to defend themselves from what is seen as extermination by Russian forces.
Putin's forces are obliterating cities and murdering innocent people without any remorse then denying the truth to their own people.
Destroying and isolating the Russian economy as much as possible prevents Putin funding his army to fuel his ambitions.
Evraz is a small cog in that wheel so obviously it has to be stopped from turning.

I agree this could go much further, a lot of bear sentiment here now. Yield is still super high and the revenue are only slightly down.

It could be all sorts of reasons from Family, somethings she's disagreed with at the company, leaving to bigger and better things or a transfer within AEW. Either way, I'm not sure it will effect the NAV and divi, the team look fine.
The drop today has almost reached my 124p Limit Buy to buy back the shares I sold above 130p only a couple of weeks ago. The trend looks still intact if the price drops back to 122 to 124.

But still only 29500 ZAR, which is high but not like the low 30,000s we saw in 2020.
The price in GBP is only 20 quid away from its all time highs.
Will this be enough to help break through 24p next time it tests.?

Good luck holders here, I sold out this week at 300p.
For me this has been poor investment and there doesn't seem to be any signs of change or even the dividend being covered properly within the fund on the horizon. After a year overall I'm up only 2% and that's taking into consideration each DRIP.
Now of course I expect all holders will benefit from a price move to 330p...

Doesn't this dip seem overdone when it's arguable the slide in revenue was by and large already priced in leading to DLG having such a high yield ?
If the company is still doing buybacks, then surely that's a sign the yield will remain attractive.
IMO DLG will remain down trodden but a good buying opportunity surely if not today then in the coming weeks.

Gold Price is stable around £1500 currently £1517.
Longest stretch of prices around £1500 since May 2020 when the SP was around 25p or more.

Did the same thing last year on Ex-Div day. Only 20p down, 19p is the Div.

So as a newbie can I confirm what I am reading here:
The business is doing as well as last year, when the SP was 500p less the Performance Elastomers (2021 £320m) , which at 2019 levels still bought in £100m.
The acquisition they spent half the current market cap on will reap double digit EPS.
Does double digit mean 10p or 99p, is there as estimate anywhere ?
If we assume 10p added to the div and the company going back to 2019 levels then surely going forward we expect what, annual divs above 15p, 20p, 25p... ? Huge director buys at 275 and decent buys up to the 400s and 500s
All cigarette pack stuff, but surely the update today is good for the SP.

Hi Trojan. It was choice due to expectations of the companies I follow. I sold JUP and bought FRES.
JUP has had poor results, ex-div just past, wider market and inflation add to poor sentiment.
FRES goes ex-div tomorrow, silver and gold are in a recent dip, inflation good for silver, steady results expected today.
Will still keep an eye and maybe buy back JUP later but I am intending to hold a large proportion of cash.

Where we're all in agreement is how good the price is leading to Ex-Div day tomorrow.

Does FRES have a habit of dropping back after ex-div day, or does the price movement here depend on silver, gold and sentiment and little to do with dividends ?
IMO it's the latter, so looking to hold through into the 800s at least.

One has to feel that intelligent Russian people would not fall for it, but then he's using the same techniques Hitler used to persuade the necessity of going to war, and many fell for it back then.

It isn't OK and there is no special case. Ukraine is a free country and able to choose its own alliances. It doesn't need big bully Putin constantly meddling and stealing its land. The only thing Putin has made sure of is that Ukraine will firmly see it's future in the EU and Nato, be prosperous, peaceful and be able to protect itself from more Russian invasions.
