Woodford’s been in TW for a good while I believe but has obviously increased his stake now. The trouble with TW is most of their dividend is a “special” dividend annually. I’m a holder myself but when the downturn comes in housebuilding, the special will be axed leaving a very small yield.

I don’t know why he continues down this path LTI. He’s previously told us all that Brexit isn’t going to happen over and over again so one wonders why he’s still so angry about it. He should be happy instead of boring everyone to death by a thousand cuts.

I can only presume (having him on filter) that judging by replies, he is still rattling on about Brexit. One can only wonder how exasperated his wife/partner/boyfriend must be listening to this 24/7. You should get out a bit more DCB. You can’t see it but you are turning into one the most boring people on Planet Earth.

I take your point. My family were spilt 3-3 on it. We all agreed not to argue over it and accept the will of the people the night before the vote. We still keep our powder dry on it thankfully. My point about Russia is DCB/JCB can’t accept democracy. If they moved to Russia they could vote and if they didn’t like the outcome, they could rely on the establishment to corrupt the democratic vote for their own means. At the end of the day, what any of us write on here regarding Brexit will change nothing and a number of us are bored of a couple of posters who hijack this board because they can’t accept they were on the wrong side of a national vote. Bored of them zzzzzzzz

Yes I think it’s not beyond the wit of the politicians to solve the border issue by March next year. I didn’t accuse you of trolling. DCB and Jayfax have been boring this bulletin board for too long now over Brexit. They can’t accept a democratic decision and need to move to Russia instead where their left wing views will be accepted gleefully.

Seems ridiculous to me that the main visible stumbling block to exit from the EU is the Northern Ireland/Ireland border issue. I’m sure the issue will get resolved. We should have had Brexiteers running the show post Cameron. Michael Gove has a lot to answer for, as able as he is intellectually for stopping a Brexiteer from taking the helm. The divisions over Europe run deep in the Labour Party too and their policy is a shambles likewise. The majority of the people who bothered to vote in something so important voted to leave the EU. There will be riots and disorder on our streets if the will of the majority who exercised their democratic right is ignored. Jayfax and DCB are wasting their time polluting this board with their c*ap. You lost a democratic vote so move on you pathetic trolls please.

No doubt Fankhauser will have his snout in the trough again with this negligible improvement in fortunes. I expect we'll have to wait 5 months for these to start improving again in advance of final year results.

These interims are unaudited. Figures can be massaged by way of accruals and costs stacked into the first 6 months or revenues underestimated deliberately etc. At the year end, the auditors get involved and have to sign the full years accounts off.

I often wonder if the books are cooked with TCG. With all the work out there that they must be picking up from Monarch and Air Berlin, I’d have expected a stronger statement from Mr F. Maybe they are trying to encourage a bid from outside. In my previous experience, the CEO and Finance Director tell the accountants what figures they want to show to the City and they are tasked with coming up with them at interim stage. Who knows what’s really going on. Something must have been driving the price upwards recently because it wouldn’t have been Investec slowly disposing of their stake.....

The cheaper they buy them at, the more that can be cancelled. They won’t be concerned about supporting the share price as nice a concept for us it is.
