Unfortunately, sellers are outweighing buyers at the current price preventing this from moving up significantly. Let's hope the MMs don't drop the price to attract buyers . I feel that this is a precarious position for further upside or not. Obviously, if we get something positive on the ICICI sale this could take off. Given previous setbacks, I remain nervous.

Problem is Pru just seems to follow the FTSE up and down 👇 as is the case today. I just hope it doesn't head back down towards the 6s again although it looks very weak ATM. Maybe we should've all sold at recent highs! Disappointing end to the week.

So why didn't you off load for a handsome profit at recent highs, Xhita? You must be extremely perplexed now, watching the SP rolling about in the gutter. The SP here is clearly being held back but to what end? I'm beginning to get very tired of it all so not sure how you can cope, Xhita, with such a large holding!

I originally bought in the 8s, Nicmanc and averaged down but took a hit which it reached mid 6s as it was dropping relentlessly. Bought again after it settled but when it started heading south again I sold. I did this a couple of times. I now hold in excess of £30k ATM so am praying for a continued rise. I'm determined to make money here! I've never known a share that goes down on the issuance of a broker buy recommendation but that's been Pru although it did respond positively to the last one, which I took some comfort from. I know, Nicmanc. I took the opportunity to buy more at 722! My theory is that all the broker forecasts can't be wrong and said forecasts are way above current value so one hopes that the market will eventually comply. It could be starting already! Do you have a large holding, Nicmanc?

Well, there's obviously some reason. I mean, there's no takeover attempts being made at this low valuation, which makes one wonder why not? Is there something we don't know?! In any case it feels like this company is not being valued correctly but that never changes so as an investment it's been a non starter. Hopeless even!

It has no positive momentum so I'd say this is headed lower. Looks like the good times are over for shareholders at least in the short-term. To sell or hold, that is now the dilemma.

Not sure the SP is flat! It seems to be going down, which it does more often than not. Beginning to think this is not a good investment!!

£3.60 sounds good xxx and I hope the floor can take the weight! Buybacks certainly didn't prevent VOD's SP from retreating, in fact they've had no obvious positive effect whatsoever. I hope Barclays fairs better.

One wonders what the benefit is buying back £1 billion worth of shares when the MC is £42 billion. It's a drop in the ocean. I'd have preferred that £billion being given back by way of a larger dividend and it looks like the market agrees. I'm thinking a repeat of recent highs could be a long way off! It's always risky holding through a results update. Should've sold on Wednesday! 😔

Anyway, fingers crossed that we've finally turned a corner and are about to fulfill the brokers' targets. It would be rude not to! The first one is around £8.50!

Whatever was agreed certainly hasn't helped the SP. It's looking like our new CEO has yet to impress. With oil lower one would expect a rise here as it seems to always fall when oil goes up!

I've been burned here on 3 occasions, Nicmanc, which explains my negativity on the SP when it falls back but maybe this time will be different. If we can get above £7.50 and stay there it will be a major positive. Good point about the progress made so far, James. Can't argue with that and Pokerchips, you got me to a tee! Think I need help! It's a bloke called Huw Pill, a BOE MPC member giving his opinion about interest rates staying higher for longer. His comments have caused the FTSE to bomb today when other European markets are flying. He's clearly a total ***hole but his ridiculous comments have cost investors dearly today.

Not looking too bullish this morning. Pru being Pru and dropping back. No doubt back to under £7 imminently. Wouldn't it be nice if we could sustain any gains for a change.
