Now 21%! Shareholders under the Kosh again! Very disappointing 😞. At least the S&P partner is still on board but like before, it's all taking too long. I hope it's not another ABB situation. Looks like it's back to waiting and hoping. I now wish I'd sold on last week's spike but you always think that this time it's for real and hang on. Let's hope JW does deliver commercial deals this year as promised and the SP finally starts heading north and stays there! More pain in the meantime.

Hope we can move beyond hype tomorrow to learn of actual commercial progress being made. It's disappointing to see the SP heading south again but if we get confirmation of who the S&P partner is and they are still engaged then it could recover quickly. I'm guessing they wouldn't invite punters down to observe the kit working to its design providing off grid power, if progress was not going to be on track, so hopefully it'll be good news all round tomorrow. We've waited a long time for a sustained uptrend so 🤞

I suspect there'll be room for AFC at a later date. 2500 tonnes of hydrogen will not be enough to fully replace FF so hopefully AFC can provide more and cheaper hydrogen once the cracker is being produced at scale.

And with retail sales unexpectedly up 1.8% in January you'd think the SP would enjoy a boost! It just seems to be dead! ⚰️

AFC on fire 🔥 Seems that getting hydrogen from cracking ammonia is a much cheaper option than electrolysis. I guess though to make the hydrogen component of ammonia green it has to come from electrolysis in the first place using surplus electricity from renewables to do so and with the amount of windmills in the UK that should be easy. Dennis is not doing a great job.

I foolishly added a few this morning at 78.5 something and it immediately went down. This is a complete dog atm. The US economy will boom all year due to lower taxes and record investment coming in so we should do well especially with the world cup taking place there and maybe the UK economy will not turn out to be the basket case many expect. I see tax receipts up significantly for January providing Rachel Theeves with an unexpectedly larger surplus and therefore more fiscal headroom. I think the downturn in JD shares is mostly sentiment driven as the underlying business does not warrant such a low MC.

Would be nice, Bondy. I see the SP is heading up towards 14. Could Helikon finally be starting to throw in the towel?

Now from the Bond days is that John Wilson seems to be telling the truth so far, unlike Bond who never told the truth once that I can remember! Credibility is everything when building a business from scratch and it looks like the market is starting to believe!

Or he knows that positive developments lie ahead and he's maximising his opportunity to buy low. (in comparison to where the SP will be in the future once said positive news is publicly released) What other reason could there be!?

It's not even tradable any more as it refuses to rise, even a little bit. Horrible!

Yes, it's a little disappointing that they haven't managed, yet, to produce some news to allow the shareprice to ascend well away from the 1p offer price. Human nature being what it is means that a lot of investors won't take up their allotted shares entitlement if they don't perceive to be getting an immediate bargain.

MMs keeping this down to kill any rally. They clearly don't want it above 13p! Maybe they're keeping it low in anticipation of having to release it post results. It's definitely a disappointing morning so far after such a watershed RNS!

Disappointing shareprice reaction. Seems the market has a downer on green hydrogen stocks atm. I think today's news is virtual proof of concept and very significant so I was expecting a bit more. 😔

I'm surprised at the muted response to today's RNS from the usual suspects

John Wilson, CEO of AFC Energy Plc, commented:

"We are delighted to have agreement from the Environment Agency to enable the export and sale of our own low carbon hydrogen produced from our ammonia cracker at our Dunsfold facility. This accelerates revenue generation for AFC Energy, from hydrogen production, by a number of months."

John Wilson is certainly pleased. I think he's finally going to deliver us to Elderado!

"AFC Energy continues to work with its Joint Venture ("JV") partner, Industrial Chemicals Group Ltd (ICL), to establish hydrogen production, through multiple Hy-5 ammonia cracker units from AFC Energy (each capable of producing up to 500kg of hydrogen per day), at ICL's facility in Port Clarence, Middlesborough. The JV is engaged with the UK Environment Agency at both local and central levels to create a framework for future deployments, across the UK, of AFC Energy's future Hy-5 units through accelerated permitting"

I like that bit. The JV is clearly still in full swing, which is great news and now with the Environment Agency on board, I think we're in business!
