Haggis isn't the only culprit. Jimmynan for example was telling everyone that this would fly in the autumn based on lots of good news. What a load of tosh that turned out to be and then there's Bumble who's just absurd. They all seem to have been trapped in Adam Bond's fantasy world making them incapable of grasping reality. Either that or they just make stuff up to suit their ramping agenda. I'd love them all to be right but unfortunately, I don't believe in fairytales and sadly, AFC have been in the fairytale business for years.
Obviously, but 35% in a few months for a FTSE company is Aim territory. I didn't expect to incur such heavy losses and the dividend is scant reward. It seems to me to be more of a gimmick considering how the stock has performed as a result of the dividend being paid.
You're right Avocet it's been a stinking investment but what if I sold and they got bought out, I'd be sick. I already sold RR to buy this dog and watching it go up every day as this goes down is difficult but sods law dictates that the same would happen here if I sold. In the meantime, I'll whinge all I want as I've paid for the privilege but I appreciate your advice. Why do you not have a problem with your investment here? Do you enjoy losing money? It seems an odd thing to say!
Maybe the question should be, why has it taken so long for VOD to become a takeover target at its current valuation? It would probably be more worrying it it didn't. Hopefully, Verizon or some other entity can see value in VOD, where the market does not. The shareprice drop has clearly been overdone.
It's a ghost town on here. Very boring.
