This should be much higher if the market was behaving normally. Afterall, it shot up to £2.20 or so when the COVID restrictions were lifted and when revenue was still on the floor. I have lost faith in the UK market so who knows what will happen tomorrow. The results will definitely be good but I don't expect any great SP increase. I think the scars inflicted on investors from virtually closing the industry down during COVID, run too deep leaving many reluctant to over commit to airlines. Obviously, I hope I'm wrong and this flies.
And the party's over. Back into the downward cycle. All the hope of the last week, following the rumours leak, dashed as clearly no-one wants it and with the sale of Spain and now Italy, the dividend will surely be cut. This share never ceases to disappoint. At the current rate of going, it might take years to get back up to a pound if it ever does. No doubt we'll get some more downgrades soon for good measure. Hopeless!
But how do we get new leadership Trello? Margherita seems determined to stay and keep picking up her handsome remuneration package. I wish I hadn't touched this dog with a barge pole but unfortunately did and am now deeply underwater. After all the rumours about a possible takeover, we end up with the fire sale Swisscom deal, which we knew about anyway and it's barely moved the dial. Maybe selling up and taking the hit is the best strategy, however unpalatable!
Back in the 60s where it belongs. Absolutely pathetic! I still think a new, more dynamic CEO is badly needed here. Afterall, it was Margherita and the old guard who put Vod in this debt ridden hole in the first place.
But sentiment can make a big difference to the SP Beo and it's been negative on VOD for a long time. Should the SP ever have been this low anyway based on fundamentals? I'm still not impressed with Margherita as she lacks the ability to promote the company. She's a technocrat devoid of any charisma.
TBH, the idea of a one stop deal for off grid power, from supplying the ammonia, cracking it and producing electricity to charge a vehicle using the resultant hydrogen, is amazing. The question is, can AFC do this commercially? If it is commercially feasible and the tech is reliable, it could transform the EV charging market.
I know Daz. It's a risky strategy but watching this go down relentlessly with nothing done by the BOD to stop it, is soul destroying. Maybe all these hydrogen/ green energy companies, are doomed to fail. The market has certainly priced them that way.
