VOD has been a difficult investment with so much negativity around it but I think I overreacted today and may get back in as the initial rout seems to have subsided. Maybe so, daniel but I still bear the scars from spending a long time on the AIM market when I first got into investing, watching profit vanish before my eyes. Think it's given me PTSD hence my sometimes knee jerk decisions! Also, the macro picture is grim ATM so another factor feeding into uncertainty! But you're right, it's all about time in the market! I need to work on my anxiety! It's costing me a fortune!

Yes, daniel I have! I've been burned a lot recently on big drops post results (Intel) and also, VOD's update was not emphatic with Germany not performing as well as expected, for example. I nearly bought back at 104 but dithered. Probably regret this as I have with Intel but this market is so unpredictable it's nerve wracking! I've got a reasonable amount of capital built up (for me) and don't want to lose it all! Call me a wimp if you like!

With the big drop? Coming on the back of recent upgrades as well! Disappointing to say the least! Is it time to add?

With VOD confirming strong growth in its African businesses this morning, it confirms the vast opportunities that still remain for telcos in this fast growing market. AAF should continue to benefit!

According to Reuters. Results look mixed but overall profit guidance remains on track so let's hope we don't get hammered today! Germany continuing to make progress so that's a positive.

Hope not, Ade but the lack of substantial news is disappointing. I mean, what do we have to do to be told who the S&P partner is? I worry that no news on that front may not be good news! I just pray that the upcoming results and subsequent presentation confirm that everything is on track. If it is we go higher, much higher but then again this is AFC and we've all been burned so often in the past!

Raises AAF PT to 430 from 390 and recommends a "buy"! Obviously, the recent results have impressed those in the know! Should tick up from here. IMO
