Typo Johno. Yes, I'm aware we have been drilling Casc 5. Let's assume the whispers are correct, how long before we realistically get an update on Casc 5?

The f@cked up fund raise certainly is a mess. Not mgt's fault, but it certainly doesn't instil confidence when shareholders need it most. If they don't have the funds by Monday and they are confident of Casc 4 being a great well I would prefer then to dump whoever the shysters are and ensure the bookrunners don't get paid for being such amateurs.

Ultimately the drill bit is going to decide the sp direction. Casc success and we're off to the races. Having said that, if we do get the funds, I am concerned who the hell they are placing the shares with. If stretched finances are the reason for the funds delay, then any gains will be heavily sold into. So there may be a chance to keep buying in the 21-22p range if we get the funds and the Casc wells come in. If we're faced with that scenario it will be a gift for those with spare cash. I made a lot on i3e in their first major dilution event by piling in while the placees were taking small profits and balancing their books.

It would be nice for this company to have no drama around it. Hopefully the clownshow ends with this raise being successful and the drill to fill program being executed without issues. GLA

Interesting goings on. I wasn;t aware that very low volume is often a sign of a looming t/o - makes sense if you have quite a few major shareholders. Having said that, they may be unwilling to crystallise the loss like many of us. Good ot see mgt out trying to sell the story. The major issue of course is they haven't given any further indication of what we should expect for this year's Adj Ebitda. Surely they would have a good grasp of how Search is likely to pan out this year. We're half way through the year ffs. Winning another £5-7m in Ebitda is great, but it's not going to move the dial like Search has since they dropped the worst RNS of my investing life. Tend to agree that worst case scenario this still appears to be under-valued. But how the hell can anyone be sure with the recent track record form these clowns.

One thing I find interesting is that small cap mgt often get out and try to sell the story when there are vultures circling. These recent interviews weren't without reason, as we had just won a decent bit of business. But I did sense an air of desperation in Michael and Billy's voices when talking about how under-valued they believe us to be. If they focus on paying down debt this year and finish with $60m in Adj Ebitda then we should be in a much healthier position. I would hope they could halve debt wiht these numbers. The Shinez f@ck up also needs to have an update. Even if to say that litigation is ongoing and they feel confident in their case.

Until we get a better idea of forecast numbers I see us being played in the current range i.e. between high 50's and low 70's. Good one to trade until we get any further updates. T/o offer I'd expect to be £1 as a starting point.

Lukee, on the recent Kestrel moves, what do believe are the reasons behind them? Do you think they could be clearing the decks and getting their finances together in order to bid with another party?

my bets as follows:

if we get the funds = 22-23p.

no funds = 18-19p.

an update on casc 4 that is +ve will help both scenarios by up to 2p.

a ****show on casc 4 and no funds is so ugly i don't even want to think about it.

i didn't mention but i picked up 100k a few days ago so now hold 1m @ 22p (pretty much bang on). there's nothing that i'd like to see more than us break above 25p, but it really isn't anywhere near the safe bet some are making out. casc 4 & 5 aside, the funding has been a ****show and the last thing the compnay needs given its shaky reputation at the moment. let's hope for a successful fund raise so we can at least move onto the next squeaky bum milestones - casc drills. gla

Poster thoughts on what it will do to the share price if we don't get the funds...? We won't know about Casc 4 by eop tomorrow so there's likely going to be a few days of trading before we potentially get good news (at the earliest). My gut tells me that a failure to obtain the funds will knock the sp as it will be seen as a negative news item until we hear anything about the Casc wells. But to what level, who knows. Reckon back to the 18's briefly is a possibility. GLA

If memory serves me correctly, they have had the wrong equipment previously (not suited to the geology and 'kicks' they were getting when drilling zones), they had drill hole issues (damage), and then there's the sidetracks. Either way it doesn't matter providing they have learned lessons (especially from Casc 4), and there's no further problems (or any problems are very limited in nature). If they can execute Casc 4 & 5 without issues and high production levels, then I'm sure most would be willing to wipe the slate clean and focus on the future.

When are we expecting to hear about Casc 5 folks? Does anyone have an expected newsflow for this well i.e. will they inform the market when they have hit TD, or will they wait until they have some flowrates to share? I'm hoping they make the effort to give the market an interview or some type of update when they hit TD, given the issues they had with Casc 4. This alone should add a penny or two before we get the results. Hopefully some of the Discord group can provide this information as we move into the news cycle. Will be interesting to see sp action in the success case. I don't want to comprehend another drama for this company. Roach and co really are on their last legs when it comes to drilling failures, as the sp attests.

Depends Ross. If they have enough cash to cover both Casc 4 & 5 and they turn out well then we should be able to drill the Central wells, albeit later than originally planned. Ideal scenario is they get less £5m and we lose a chunk of the dilution but still have enough cash to continue with the drilling plan at pace. Who knows what will happen. It's TXP we're talking about after all.

That's the rose-tinted view Stas. The other is OAK and co are run by muppets equivalent to ours when it comes to execution. Let's hope our muppets get things right and we can move on from years of disappointment. They only need to nail 2 x Casc wells back to back, and this placement money falling over could, as you have pointed out, work in our favour. One can only hope (as always with TXP).

There's no way they raise again at 20.5p in the next 3 months if this falls through. The sp will go down, not up. The only way it will rise is with Casc 4 & 5 coming online, on time, and at top-end or exceeding the flow rates that have been achieved to date. Remember Roach said they know where to drill now, and these wells are all about maximising production. If the wells do exceed the best we've seen to date, then I do believe a re-rate will occur, and they can raise again in 6 months above 20.5p, perhaps even around the mid 20's. But the hockey stick production profile they could have had by year-end will be pushed out to H1 2026 imo. Basically it's what I've been saying for 6 months, it all depends on Casc 4 & 5 being good to great wells.

Any news on the missing £10m? Mgt better provide an update first thing Monday.

That's certainly the silver lining, Stas. If they have enough in the piggy bank to drill both Casc wells and they come online at above average rates (versus previous wells), then we may well indeed be able to continue the program and have 16% less shares in issue. It would be a great outcome, but would also mean no margin for f@ck ups. This might give them a bit more focus as well. I imagine we're treading a very fine line. Hopefully we're on the right side of it because it gets messy on the other side. GLA

Jesus you guys need to take a break. The biggest issue hasn't even been spoken about today, and that is wtf will happen if the remaining funds don't drop tomorrow. It's a pretty big deal if we don't get the extra £10m. How much it limits the company is anyone's guess. If they don't get the cash then the f@ck up bookrunners should stump up imo. Reckon we'll drop back to 18p if the funds don't land. And if they do, I think 21p. All just a guess though as no-one knows our true financial situation and what this money means for our production profile over the next 6-12 months. Hopefully good news and they can just get on with drilling some holes. Absolutely mind boggling to be in this position.

There can't be many UK small cap tech sector companies, let alone ones that Kestrel are familiar with... I'm holding for another t/o as I'd kick myself for selling at 60p when the offer would need to be at least 100p to get over the line. One can only dream I suppose.

CEO here looks and sounds so uninspiring. The guy reads from sheets given to him. How does he not know the numbers and drivers of the business? Also, why not give a top-line update on Comparison and Search. The useless f@cks have given the flimsiest guidance to the market and then said nothing other than 'we won some new Domains business'. Great, but what about the rest of the business, in particular the massive anchor that is Search. What about Comparison growth trajectory with the roll-out to new markets? What about Shinez? Clowns.

I think the update was to let the market know what they have decided to do, and when it will be done. The alternative is we're sitting around waiting for news to drop in the next month, when they know it will take another 6 weeks. Strongly suggest you look at the recent interviews and the PLSR Questions on this site. Drop them a line with some questions - they're pretty good at responding. Would be good to discuss the information that we do know. Thomas is certainly confident in success given what I've seen and read to date.

Maybe Hardole, but we just don't know. We do know that Casc 4 has cost $m's to date and isn't completed. I'd think both Casc wells being completed will cost $10m. Casc 5 is obviously ok and paid for out of what we have received from the raise. Casc 4 is a maybe, depending on funds flow from ops after all other costs. Central no chance unless we get the additional funding, otherwise they wouldn't have needed $20m in the first place.

I'd say the investment thesis hasn't changed at all. The only thing that has changed is the timings due to the rock fines. Not great, but not particularly big in the grand scheme of things.
