Any new investors here or perhaps those sitting on the fence right now, might consider £1 a pure fantasy. However, when I first started buying QFI shares they were well into the 40's and the potential to multi-bag from there was being well touted on the BB's. At the time we'd just completed the POC (proof of concept) trial for Maersk and the next step was to be the LONO trial. KSA was being discussed but we were essentially a 'one trick pony', yet a buy-out price of hundreds of pence was regularly discussed
Fast forward a few years and where are we now? Still in the race, but it's become a marathon and I don't know if the finish line is in sight yet, or if we've really just got started. However, we do have agreements in place with JGC and Freepoint, that each could lead to contracts that would be transformational for the company. JGC have said they expect it to become a significant new revenue stream for them, and Freepoint are on record saying MSAR has clear economic and environmental advantages over existing fuel sources, and are looking to progress and accelerate selected MSAR projects globally. We also have a European oil major paying us to test their residues with a view to possibly producing and consuming MSAR at their refinery. AND, KSA is not dead. The fast-track option may be off the table now, but the potential to save $500m per year off anybody's fuel bill has to keep coming back for discussion surely?
So given that any of the above may develop into a decent income stream for the company, and that eventually all may possibly progress to become earners, is £1 such a flight of fancy? It probably still is at the moment, but, back to the marathon we're running with a blindfold on, we may be closer to the finish line than any of us realise
Somebody is buying QFI shares, but in chunks spaced apart so as not to ignite the price, but I for one am starting to get excited
