Effectively let's say you think the price of an asset will rise. In this case ARCM. You, the receiver, agree to make finance / interest payments to the payer (UBS).

If the price rises UBS pay the capital gain to you, you still pay the finance/interest payments to them.

If the price falls you pay UBS the capital loss plus the finance/interest costs.

Neither party own the actual stock.

Also liquidity isn't a factor as no one physically holds the asset. 👍🏻

Gotcha. Yes the number is the date listed numerically as the other poster said.

There are various use cases for a UBS client to open a derivative contract like this. So we won't really know much more e.g. leveraging, tax benefits, hedging, confidentiality etc.

Yeah very much agree. Massive de-risking event on the licences and also the resolution of the other licence areas confirmed.

I had anticipated they would need to have been more advanced to achieve the approval of the LML. Just based on some criteria I looked at. So, it's fab to see it's been approved already.

As you say. This approval is evidence of the view of the current Zambian administration about the JV and Anglo. It also provides investors with significantly more certainty over the ground within the JV.

It's down to AA to drill drill drill. Looking forward to news on this as it develops 🤞🏻

Assets are very strong here, just neednews, momentum and general improvement in aim market. Hopefully coinciding. Rather any news lands when general sentiment is higher but equally I welcome good news, ideally regularly 😂

Seis, can you remind me. Does the lml area contain the priority JV drilling targets discussed in recent(ISH) investor calls?

It's a very good step forward, especially after the recent fiasco at the cadastre. I'd like too hear all this via shareholder RNS updates, I guess they'll wait until actual granting finalised.

I'd also like to hear about the court case (if the X post was accurate) and whats happening on the ground.

Yeah defo zam is main course. However, I've grown fond of the prospects of bots. Mostly due too the adjacency of the mine next door. It's provided me with optimism on both the prospectivity and the likelihood of a buy out or partnership.

Let's hope 2025 brings us greater prosperity.

They are classified as SI 'Systematic Internaliser', effectively a requirement on in segment firms for transparency when they trade on their own account 'off book'. So to my understanding you can basically ignore them. Just think of them as market mechanics

It was really a proof on concept drill. I think they've proven a fair amount for a first drill campaign.

Next one is more mineralisation targeted.

First payment of bonds are already in escrow.

Bond subscriber announced they support.

Revised plan requires revised drawdown schedule.

The rest is behind an iron curtain until we are out of a closed period but it seemed like positive news in the mist, rather than negative.

Cash / raising wise will depends on the known unknowns.

I agree that I doubt the investor call is simply for this RNS. Therefore it'll just be a general update or will be off the back of further news they plan to release. Given it's booked in short notice I'm favouring more news will be released.

Not convinced that the MMs did that tbh. It was caused simply by a sell off from assumptions and worries, exaccerbated by news blackout at a time the company could have been selling and promoting the various good news streams/achieved milestones.

Unfortunately, when you don't have broader dialogue and context being provided investors try join the dots. Only takes a few sellers to create more as the price swings down and nervousness climbs. Obviously MMs feed on this but can't blame them for creating it IMO.

I hope the reason for the blackout is worth the impact the silence has had. It's defo not smoke and mirrors. What it is and what it will mean will be known only when announced. I'm comfortable that PXC are a solid hold without it, and hopeful whatever it is is a gem. Managing my expectations with an open mind.

This closed period isn't a result of simply a placing. For that I'm certain. Reasoning being aspects like:

They wouldn't want to be able to tell the full story yesterday, after having to come out of total silence following an unanticipated share price beating, if the additional news was 'we're working a placing'.

They want to be able to share the news with us.

A placing could be cleared away in days. They've been in silence for months.

It wouldn't make sense to go into a blackout over the period when you announce / release bond completion for capex, a PFS etc for a placing. They'd just get it done.

So the news is defo larger scale, assuming whatever it is materialises. You'd have to guess given they got the bonds for capex and the length of time taken it'll almost certainly involve a third party (obviously), so m&a 'appears' a logical leap. That said no point speculating and have to wait and see.

IMO as above it's certainly deemed positive by the company, it's clearly has involved ongoing negotiations or process larger than a placing.

Could be absolutely anything. Tie up with a n other. Merger. Acquisition. Listing related. Could include an element of placement if funds needed, or could be money generative. We will find out in time. I'm certainly not worried it's all for a placement in isolation.
