The key risk in terms of proximity is absolutely around the funding needs. Can they raise the amount they need, with their alloted share authority, against (or discounted against) the current share price.
I think someone said theyve got authority to issue 315m shares? Is 2.5m GBP enough to fund....does anyone have info on their funding requirement?
Atb
Certainly a tempting price for the risk now. I'm not sure about the forward selling idea. Any raise would be quite large and the value of trades being shown wouldn't begin to touch the edges.
Question for new buyer or watchers like myself is do you but now with a view it's likely to rebound 20% or so, or do you wait for the fund raise. Perhaps half a position now then half the position on funding would be an appropriate method given the situ.
It's certainly dropped lower than I anticipated pre announcement.

I suppose this statement wasn't sufficient evidence as evidence of 'any drilling for that matter'....
'In addition, Arc is pleased to confirm that drilling at one of the key joint venture licences has commenced.'

Evening all, been watching for a long time. Since the highs in 2021.
I haven't seen the detail of the resolution around share allotment. I'll happily check the company site for info but does it mention the amount of shares or was / has the funding requirement in terms of $/£ been mentioned?
May dip my toe in after the raise.

Each to their own really Chid.
You're welcome to your opinion. Others to their own. Consensus isn't needed.
We'll see in time. Atb wherever you decide to invest etc.
Been in plenty of junior stocks that have done well and had little volume of shares traded / low trade counts before they did well. Doesn't mean much.
Is what it is, until that changes.

While no news (yet, although still early) - if they had a clear position they would have RNS'd. So I've not ruled one, I believe they will tell us the status.
I agree that the price may dip in the absence of news at first light, but I more feel that some of the views are being overplayed.
I do have a belief in PXC and the integrity of the directors. They've told us they are confident on financing, they've said they have worked several plans as a good risk mitigation. I can understand how this is not ideal for some, especially after the encouraging rise recently, however I feel no dread of doom myself.
These things take forever.
Atb
It's odd.
I mean I'd they know they'll extend they'd have issued an RNS maybe earlier. On the other hand if they had completed they'd have also done the same.
I'm certain we'll get an RNS tomorrow either way. So, we should know more then.
Ultimately it'll get done when it gets done. I personally believe it'll be done soon, but not suggesting it'll be tomorrow.

While I regret my decision to not sell some to reaccumulate if it dipped (hindsight is 20/20), I'm not sure why we're saying theyve missed the deadline as we haven't had any update that I've seen?
They said until 8th so a couple days. No news may well mean it'll be extended but the fact they haven't announced an extension already may be because they are close. Im not suggesting which of these scenarios are true, just that they are both plausible.
Ultimately, panic breeds panic and people who trade their positions coupled with the relative illiquidity of the stock creates swings.
While a bit less exciting to see the stock value at this price,l and direction, I'm not concerned about the eventual outcomes and shareprice.
I see this dip as more of a missed opportunity than a concern.
Just my view

Agreed StanUK.
Noresco,
I appreciate you've received abuse from people but two wrongs and all that, as the saying goes?
Fwiw while I don't agree with you, or the way you put things across on here, I certainly also don't support some of the comments sent your way either.
On the £1 next year thing. Personally I would bat an eyelid. That would seem significantly optimistic. However I agree many would find that less jarring than repeatedly slamming the company people are invested in, and are generally
going to be positive about....for obvious reasons.
I'm sorry you feel personally attacked by people, it seems this has driven you to offer that same attitude back. But rationally speaking I'm almost certain that approach won't end with a resolution, or make you feel better, or change what has been said. It will just continue to eat you up and alienate IMO.
Anyway. I'm not trying to be a counsellor here, or stand on a pedestal. We're all human.
I accept that my words won't change your view on ARCM(or the view of several others). Besides, persuading others isn't a driver for me on these boards and meaningful dialogue seems unlikely at this stage so I'll bow out.
Atb - Ngt all
Evening Noresco,
The AA agreement was announced on 12th May 2022, swiftly after the legal settlement. This clearly had to be finalised before the deal could be concluded formally.
No one can deny it's taken a long time but it is what it is. IMO given the legal cases by MM, the lengthy discussions to get this sort of deal during exclusivity, the cadastre closing and lot of changes within Zam mining sector unfortunately all this coincided with all the paper pushing to finalise this deal. That clearly delayed it longer than anyone wanted (Includiing AA and ARCM). During this time many also said it wouldn't conclude, others said the price would go nuts etc etc. It's okay to have these differing views and to disagree with each other.
I don't care if people choose to 'gloat'. However, selectively gloating serves no real purpose apart from (IMO) trying to self inflate one's own ego or self kudos. Re the floating I was just personally just saying the story hasn't played out yet tbh. The drill has literally just gone into the soil, after the deal that was never going to conclude has concluded.
Personally I didn't think the deal conclusion would drive a massive re rate, but that the drill plan, commencement and results will/would (providing they prove resources obviously).
Having said that I also didn't anticipate the shareprice being where it is at this stage. I'm not worried about it though as at a project level it's progressing and if the goods are in the ground the shareprice will work out eventually. Ultimately with a junior explorer it's about the land and the cash to explore the land. AA have the cash and the JV have the land (which is very highly regarded in its prospectivity/location) and is also being upgraded to mining licences within the cadastre. There is never any guarantees of course.
On the one hand you seem frustrated some don't like what you say and consider it nonsense. Yet your saying others are talking nonsense if it's not what you say or believe.
Seems logical to me. I have a different view to you on ARCM, that's fine. I don't see why everyone can't just debate sensibly and openly or respect each others differing opinions. It all seems to be an attempt at one upmanship, or personal attacks from all sides.
Anyway, I'm knowingly wasting my breath.

Evening Bilkos.
Almost certainly it will go to auction IMO although that doesn't really mean much in itself.
I say this on the assumption that non dilutive funding (or as near as non dilutive as is possible) is achieved it should attract a fair amount of interest on the day (but obviously no certainties as markets are a strange thing).
Their is limited free float and capex to fund production etc thats higher of the mcap should see a re rate .
I expect it could go up quick if volume on the demand side increases. I'm sure some will derisk and/or take profit or exit after an initial run up and a couple auctions.
My initial slice target is a lot higher than this price. If we get there. It'll likely peak, fall back then hopefully settle and increase gradually as the programme progresses. Clearly their is indications that other news is also due to be released so that could be a further positive driver.
More than happy to hold my lot here and probably most (at least 2/3) of my position longer term (subject to any changes or news).
Atb
Let's just wait and see what the end result is before anyone decides to gloat. It could come back to haunt people, it may not, but it could.
They've only just sunk the drill lol.
I agree with Seis though. To hit an ore body with the first drills would be fortuitous. Not impossible, but not probable. It shouldn't be the expectation. The land packages are very promising and AA agree. That's all that matters to me personally at this stage.
Let's see what's happening a bit further down the line. The price today is irrelevant unless someone wants to buy, add or sell. Yes it took forever to conclude the deal, we've discussed this to the nth degree and we know why. It's now concluded.
Those constantly posting here saying it's a bad investment, have no financial interest here. They can't decide on my behalf what I should do, or anyone else.
What we want to invest in, our confidence and opinions on our investment, risk appetites, choices in how long were happy to hold are all personal and individual choices.
If some don't agree that's fine. If they want to post persistently negatively its their life to do as they please. Wouldn't be my approach but I'm not them and they are not me.
Good health and wealth to all. The world can be bitter enough as it is.
Atb
Purple, yep been here a while myself too.
Worth the wait IMO. Few opportunities during the dips too. My position is about 30% lower than what you hold but more than enough really.
Lots of news due so could (should) be a good time here to come. All being well, as anticipated .
Atb
Takenorisk, if you've got an interest in what the Christmas price is then I guess that's for you to determine for yourself.
Price this Christmas means nothing to me. The price will work out if the drilling is successful, no matter what anyone thinks. If it's not successful then it'll end up the other way.
It's about the licences above all else.
I did wonder what you meant by battered, that had me confused.
Yes removal of LTA is positive. Although reversible depending on the elections.
You'll still be capped on the tax free lump sum commencement payment sadly. However the reduction of tax on drawdown to the marginal rate of tax, rather than the higher 55% above the LTA will be useful if you have that kind of pot.
I'm a way off retirement yet age wise but I'm hoping to have the problems of a high pension pot. I'm on track but could do with a PXC re rate and another stock I'm largely positioned in.
Fingers crossed
Atb
No worries
There has been some talk here (and I believe other forums) about today's AGM and the absence of approval for the company to allot new shares in the AGM announcement.
Just wanted to say don't read too much into this. You'll notice it's not in any of the AGM notification announcements.
That is because ARCM are authorised to issue an unlimited number of no par value Shares of a single class. As per the Memorandum of association of articles.
They don't need shareholder approval at the AGM. That's why they haven't needed to include it in previous AGMs, before raising monies.
Just sharing for clarification as I think some are reading a lot into it.
I'm not expecting an imminent raise. I wouldn't rule one out at some point though. However thats the nature of the beast. Clearly the free carry and cash payments from AA will help but at some point they may need more for any acquisitions etc (depending on the terms).
The dilution without this JV would have been a lot worse for PIs. We've diluted at project level rather than co level with this JV and that's a good thing IMO.
Hopefully AA drilling results in time will positively influence the shareprice and the strike price of any future raise.
Not a personal concern for me.

Outofluck -
You said 'Of course, ARCM have just received 67% of the US $3.5 million paid to Unico by Anglo in respect of the JV agreement, but that payment alone is insufficient to cover even the outstanding monies owed to PDMR'S who surrendered share options.'
These will be carried forward....
You said...''As for Botswana, as I understand it, all operations, including assays, were put on hold in order to conserve funds, so unless a new revenue source comes on stream, how are the assays, or the drilling, going to be funded?'
Yes it was all put on hold. They will pay for assays out of the recent cash payment they received. This has been confirmed.
