I don't think a new recruit because you'd only be paying for your top people to attend IDWeek and front the company IMO, and I can't think of any new roles that would merit a trip to WDC, particularly given our cash situation. I remember a time when some medical professionals viewed post-partum depression as some sort of trendy complaint with no underlying basis. Little wonder when the majority of those forming such an opinion were neither female, child-bearing, nor hormonally or cerebrally similar in make-up to the patients they so casually dismissed. Thankfully, research has proven those outdated modes of thinking have no place in modern psychiatry or medicine. It may one day be the same for post-viral syndromes such as LC?

It s truly disheartening to know that ANY 'medic' would refer to Cystic Fibrosis, a disease that literally cripples the lungs and kills large number before old age, a disease with such unimaginable physical manifestation, as 'all in the mind'. I am left shaking my head. It's sad that patients are faced with this level of ignorance amongst medics.
