London, UK., 27 May 2020: ValiRx Plc (AIM: VAL), the clinical stage biotechnology company announces that subject to the completion of the satisfactory background checks, it intends to appoint Dr Kevin Cox as a director of the Company in the position as Non-executive Chairman.



Kevin has over 25 years' experience in the life science industry, covering a wide range of sectors such as biomanufacturing, anti-infectives development, biomedical imaging, pathology, and clinical pharmacology. Serving as CEO of high growth biotechnology businesses, he has extensive experience in strategy, corporate development, M&A, financing and joint ventures.

Now that would be good news Valju....let's hope it does ...just that!

Good morning my civilized friends. I agree that, over time, Valirx will hopefully be perceived as a long term investment....and no longer a wham bam thank you mam.
Valirx has an exciting pipeline and subject to acceptable data being released...over time...I continue to believe it has great potential shareholder value, as now under the stewardship of a less greedy selfish BOD. Time will tell, but in the meantime it is reliant on short/medium term funding institutions...and without that support would probably have gone bust during the past months. .. Once trust is re-established attracting credible long term institutional holders I will be really pleased....but spurs are yet to be earned. In the meantime I continue to hold.

I don't think Nick Slater has any long term interest in any company. However I will accept an alternative explanation from anyone with more experience.
Either way.. would be pleasing to see the sp to rise steadily and hold...over time..

I believe you could well be right valju. Despite several attempts to bring it down the ask appears robust. Would be pleasing to think this is the bottom....the first of its kind with the terrible twins off the court. It's still early days but fingers crossed.

Hi Peter. I was communicating on two what's app group sites but found it a bit too much controlled.
Personally I prefer this site as it's open to all and now appears to be working well. So on the basis of...if it's not broke don't fix it....why not just use this one.

Yes....Rightback...a new Chair...and my guess is someone well known and respected within the scientific community...a step change for Valirx and an opportunity for those who have been kept in the shadows to flower....
