The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Pauly you will find that the practicalities are that your patent needs to do what it claims to do. An examiner is going to pull the carpet on something that doesn t do what it claims and likelier still is that you ll get your ass sued for trying to sell stuff that is falsely advertised. In Clons case it would be truly remrkable if they d registered this knowing it doesn t work and brazenlybtried to sell it to the BolGov . The worst case is that it doesn t work efficiently enough and they have to remodel stuff but for you to sit their and suggest that the whole application is in doubt as the patent is worth jack and therefore the tech is dubious...i ll let.others make their own minds up.
Well there must be some level of inherent risk or we'd be at 20p plus I guess!
50p to £2 quid??? and when diluted to raise the money to run the project maybe a fraction no?? or do they just stick a rig over the fault and suck it up in a Henry Hoover?
I might add Pauly that I can tell you're invested but then why so bleedin negative:_)))??!
1. This is patented. You can't patent any old rubbish, it needs to be substantiated and proven that it does what you say to get the patent granted. 2. Do you think it would serve Clontarf well to be boastful or declare to the investor community that they think this is a slam dunk with the Bolivian GOT. How would they take such confidence do you think? 3. Pauly you sound like a classic "me too" investor who invests on news when its generally too late to make hay. I wonder whether you should stick to FTSE 250 firms and dividends rather than speculative AIM stocks. You have to infer a lot and have faith so sniping away is pointless as it just gives you zero credibility. We all know this is a gamble.
Sorry mcleod but thats all just naive blah blah blah..we get the business case thanks very much - its a case of whether existing SHs see the benefit as opposed to a private company buying GDR on the cheap or if the options are taken up by SHs what the risk / reward profile then looks like.
Hi Stocksaint - I wonder if there is more good news pending - I think its very possible because its normal course of business when you want money, do it off the back of something..I have therefore thought about wanging 10K in to this, but with the discounted offer I reckon there would be a tiny window to buy and then jump back out before having to take up your options. Overall I still think you re better off waiting but what do I know!!!
A lot of this is to do with Lithium being at the bottom of the cycle and less risk elsewhere that still offers decent returns. in short, no one is interested in this. That doesn't mean that it isn't interesting or something truly awesome can happen, its just why bother?? the money will come in for this on news and you'd still make a killing with much less risk. We're all on our half boards waiting for some waves whereas most investors will see the first wave or two and then realise "surfs up"!!!:-) its a waiting game.
Here is the worst case scenario which is a very real one. Firstly, GDR do a successful raise at 2-3p and get 3-5 million of cash in bank. SHs take up the offer and then....secondly the cash still runs out before they can reach a cash neutral or positive place in another 18 months which is an entirely feasible outcome. So you have more exposure, more risk and all to be in exactly the same moment having spaffed yet more up the wall. Methinks there are better ways to invest than in this crock. I personally think that the raise will only be partially successful and that it'll give 12 months to get a sell organised. This outfit needs 3 more years to get to a a good place and you investors need to be thinking 3-5 years. That's when you'd see dividends worth the value of your current SP. You all think like traders though aka what the share price is...sod that - you want an income surely??!!!! thats years away.
If this was supposed to be the good news that would make the SP soar with a raise off the back of it bad luck. Massive dilution is clearly on the way and there is no way on gods green earth you would buy now. The placement will land within next few days and no doubt they were waiting to see a jump before final offer. Unless there is more really great news about to land. Which there isn't. Or they wouldn't have to raise hahaha.
22Million at a weighted Average of 0.08 - I m looking for X10 on that because I'm A) greedy B) Deluded and living in fantasy land C) Playing the long game on a moonshot. D) all of the above:-))
I partially agree Pauly. Maybe worth considering that Bolivia want this to be a long term economic investment and its success will be dependent on clean lithium extraction. The reason it hasnt happened is cos they are red hot on environmental issues and Clon/next chem partnership offers something unique. Is it scaleable? I don t think Bolivia are expecting this all tomorrow as they want it to be viable LT. This is why we will have conditions and it may be a requirement to work with one of the Chinese or Russian firms in a JV. I think something good is going to happen but hard to say what. By end of year we ll know the trajectory. I have 15-16k in this and tempting to put another 2k in but its getting too much. This will be 0.5-0.7 by next year with a fair wind. If not then i ll leave it for Ghana Phoenix over the next 2-5years!
I personally believe Bolivia will go places. However I think any contract will have a bunch of conditions that will need to be met and that it may take a couple of years to meet whats stipulated in the contract. How that and a fund raise play out I don't know.
Pauly its a microstock and investors will lose what they can afford on it. Its rather irrelevant what the SP does unless you like gawking at the paper value endlessly. This is a long term bet worth multiples or nothing and everyone gets that so this sort of drift south is of no consequence or interest. A nice buying opportunity for those who want to to take a punt which is what it is.
I would agree on Ghana. It feels like they are spiting Clon for taking them through Court and i imagine they will continue to block. One day...and that would be some day.
Why buy when a discount is on the way for Shs to participate. The likelihood is that it will be a deep to ensure they are fully subscribed and to avoid the RF facility. If SHs dont take up their offer then it ll be weaker for longer with RF on scene. Lots if extra shares=excess liquidity until GDR can prove its timelines to break even are achievable. I ll wait personally but good luck no matter what you re strategy.
Such horsesh8t. Its taken years to develop the tech and in the meantime you re alluding to new tech landing in time for the BGT to consider whilst this new space age lithium laser extraction system has no timing issues of its own. You ve got the business acumen of a squirrels anus
Well you don't have much imagination. look at the batteries that are coming down the line for EV's and the improvement in tech that's coming. And guess what...all with Lithium.
I doubt it ll be quite that much Gloria. I do think 6-7m and always thought this would be a penny stock at some point. Thank fk i took a loss and sold at 18p way back when. One of my better decisions.
That said I'm going to lump another 1 or 2K in:-)
